Before the BV match I'd have said yes, but now I'm not so sure. One swallow not making a summer but he certainly looked more competent than he had for a long while and it reminded me why he was an initial improvement on Thompson.

He rides for the colts so he was always going to score points

As discussed on the official Speedway podcast a lot will depend on where William Cairns decides to sign for in Premiership. If he pledges his allegiance to Leicester then the RS at the  start of season will know it’s only a contract up until end of June .

The last I heard on the Cairns situation was that his family want him to ride for Leicester obviously but have said he can choose his Championship club but William will make the ultimate decision . Logistics have to be remembered too if he signs for a Monday night Premiership club means early rush to get Poland for U24 league

On the podcast he explains he’ll not be racing for Leicester while his dad owns it because he doesn’t want people saying he’s getting any special treatment. He suggested at this moment he’s still weighing up the Premiership options.

As long as Stewart Dickson is in charge of team building & management young Cairns will have nothing to worry about in terms of nepotism being the reason he rides for the Lions.

If it was up to me I'd go this team next season

1. Fricke

2. Sedgmen

3. Lawson

4. Becker

5. Huckenbeck

6. Dan Thompson

7. RS

Dream land I know and probably unlikely but would love to see it

That team not going to win anything :nono:

Leicester have always looked at a balanced team.

Fricke has been excellent at home and is a strong #1. Lawson offers excellent support at #2 even if he has to go at heatleader #3 will be dependable , if averages allow I would not look to change too much.

Dan Thompson at reserve or even as a second string gives the team a solid base,

That team would be great a home especially. Strong middle order. Top reserve in Dan T and more support for fricke in my eyes it's decent

It's time to part company with Max Fricke, Leicester nor any club for that matter will ever win a title with him at no.1, good rider though he is. Jason Doyle is the best rider Leicester has had in the current era, he's a winner and the club should be going the extra mile to try and get him back on board.

Szymon Wozniak will probably lose his GP place and could be ideal to have as the second rider of a new spearhead. He'd possibly be assessed as 8 but if given 7 would be a great acquisition and would possibly enable a clear third heat leader to be brought in.

Overall, I think Leicester should ring the changes for 2025 but that could include bringing back some riders who have been there before, Dan Thompson being another, and his brother Joe.

Max is an out and out number one for any team in the uk and we would be. Poorer team without him. As much as I promote British   Youth Joes out of his depth in the top league and Dan I would imagine stay at Ipswich. Always liked Wozniak and being out the GP need to make him an early offer. Could that be a straight swap for Douglas…. Why not just change Douglas and go again with Lewis at reserve with Hagon.

I'd take Kerr as well. Experienced and will get points everywhere. Something we've lacked this season at reserve

Would love Szymon but not in place of Max. Maybe in place of Dougie if he goes to Brum, but depends if he would come in on a 7 or an 8.

Get Wozniak in and Cairns when he's eligible and Hancock can mentor them both together at Leicester, heck get Magic in while they're at it and Greg can make a come back too... maybe I've gone a little far there 😶‍🌫️

Creative thinking. It's what's needed.

Max Fricke would do a great job as no.1 for Birmingham, King's Lynn or Oxford.
