Hellstrom-Bangs? Can't see it, he's riding Ehstraliga for the first time in 2025.

That's the fella... they seem to have missed out on a trick there if he ain't in their team.

Kurtz/blodorn/Lidsey/rew or zach Cook/Bewley/zischke/mulford he could be replaced with cairns in June?

Why you talking about Ben cook on this thread for?

The clubs in all three leagues have to be built up to a certain set points limit. Due to this it’s necessary for The Aces and other top clubs to lose a rider to get back under that points limit. It was always going to be Ben Cook or whoever as we had no alternative. For money strapped club like ourselves we have to look at lowering costs all the time and opting to keep a rider who doesn’t carry a loan fee is the best option financially. Unfortunately for Ben he ticked all the boxes for being the one who necessarily had to go.

My original post was in reference to Keynan Rew who was dispensed with by Ipswich unnecessarily as they were under the set team building points limit and didn’t need to make any changes.

Hope this helps.

The subtlety of 89Buttons' reply has obviously gone waaaay over your head.

Ipswich did not dispense with Rew. As stated by Chris Louis, it was mostly Rew so, in the end, a mutually agreed decision. If you have evidence otherwise, please tell.

Hint: It makes sense to click on "Quote" when responding - then it's clear who you are replying to.

Team building was actually very easy. There’s a definite feeling I’m getting from the team that there’s unfinished business from last year and they all wanted to come back and complete the job.”

I know you were talking about rew not exactly hard to see through your vagueness to find the repeated Ipswich jibe you spout daily - read Louis’ report, rew moved on due to his reasons and Louis hopes he’ll be a witch again in future 👍

An alternative narrative for you - ben cook was belle vue’s biggest improver last season, has improved every season the last few years and made great strides on the continent too last year and for his efforts got kicked to the kerb meanwhile lidsey drops a point and a half and is retained!? Lidsey will have been on higher wages at the start of the season no doubt and I can’t imagine Ben would’ve asked for more this season than lidsey will be getting, loan fee you say? can’t imagine that’s a great amount and will be offset by travel expenses with Ben being uk based and lidsey not.

as much as I don’t want to see kings Lynn succeed as our old farm rivals…when they visit the NSS I sincerely hope Ben scores a match winning double figure haul.

hope that helps.

Are you a Tory politician!!?? Selective quoting at its finest 🤣🤣

the following sentence…

“I’m quite excited to be going back into battle with the same guys. Obviously, Keynan is one change, for his reasons mostly, which is fine and it’s certainly not closing the door on his Ipswich career. I like to think we gave him his chance and helped his first couple of years development, and he did make big improvements last year. I certainly don’t see that as the end of his Ipswich days that’s for sure.”

As stated by 89Buttons, selective quoting at its most political. Their fine reply also highlighted that, although BV *had* to release a rider, Cook ... a constant improver, fan favourite, and winner of the Alan Wilkinson Team Man of The Year Award ... rightly can feel as if he's been dispensed with.

You could make up an alternative narrative for all The Aces but the fact of the matter is someone HAD to go, even including Tate’s injury replacement the fabulous Antti. That’s not debatable.

Like I say Ben ticked all the boxes unfortunately but whoever it was we could be unfairly berated for dropping a rider - which we had to do to conform to the rules. Things will be a clearer when the team is announced as why it was Ben.

Louis mentioned Keynan wanted to stay as he had unfinished business and that Louis had reasons for getting rid of Keynan. Keynan also had reasons that could affect whether he re-signed or not. Probably 50/50 though as Louis stated it was mostly Kenyan, so 51/49. His sacking was  unnecessary, a choice not available to The Aces, again not debatable.

I wasn’t going to quote the bit where Louis admitted he had reasons for sacking Keynan.
