Will a 1.42 drop make a huge difference to our ability to qualify? Zach finished strongly against some tough teams whilst in the main body of the side. In his last 3+3 meetings he averaged 6.40. Carry on like that and it limits the damage to our title winning team. BV will make the play-offs for sure, Always will due to the NSS form. Zach for Ben is a big drop off imo, Zach's a good rider but Ben's home form was mustard (Had more 1st places then 2nd, 3rd and 4th's) Big shoes to fill. Then you get tossed on to the scrap heap in a purely tactical move. Out of around 10 teams that have put or left Connor on the scrap heap over the last few seasons, just one is continually being vilified for it. The fact it’s the only team to have offered him any top flight meetings (just a few less than previous seasons) since 2022 is BSF trolling at its finest. 2019 Left on the scrap heap 2021 Kings Lynn 16 then dropped 2022 Sheffield 18 then dropped 2023 Left on the scrap heap 2024 Belle Vue 13 then dropped

You made a good point there about Ben at the NSS. The general opinion on here is that we easily beat opponents around there due to many factors so sacrificing a few points means we still win but don’t hammer teams. Zach’s away average was actually higher than Bens so hopefully that will help turn some of those close losses into wins.
Arch Stanton
Zach is better at Foxhall than Ben. And easily so. Zach’s worst Foxhall performance ironically was when he guested FOR Ipswich. As an away rider, been generally good. So if the two meet in the play offs, Belle Vue will be stronger at Foxhall next year. Think Zach will soon get dialled in at the NSS too. Most do when they have that as their home track.

Be great to get an Aces v Witches final. When you remember the titanic semi final of ‘23 with THAT heat 15. Terrific stuff, it would be get to see those four riders going for it again in a final.

PhilTheAce
BTW. I don’t know if it’s vuolas or Tate. Either or will do. Prefer Tate though Edited November 4 by PhilTheAce
PhilTheAce
We had to lose points from our averages so always have to have a weaker team. But I think we will be better away anyway next year
Col
Z Cook & Voulas are less risky signings than Zischke, following his injury. Makes sense Z Cook had a year at Monmore didn't he? So he'll be more acclimatized to tighter tracks. Did OK in a struggling Brummies team. Voulas deserved to keep his spot. If any team was interested in taking Blodorn on loan for a year were I Lemon I think I'd have released him this year to gain more experience. While he's good to watch, still only 20 and has improved every year he is going to plateau at some point. I'd have taken a punt on Milik on a what 4.1 average. He rode most of his British League fixtures this year at #1 before having a few at reserve and then being dropped. I keep expecting Bewley to be the dominant force in our league averaging 10:50+ but maybe it'll never happen or maybe this will be the year it does. Kurtz had a stellar 2024, can't ask any more of him than his 9.15 average. Lindsey's low average surprised me, but his form away from NSS is generally poor, that needs to improve. Being a relatively experienced Ekstraliga rider if he didn't ride for the Aces I don't think he'd bother with our league. Mulford must feel under pressure with Cairns waiting in the wings when he's 16 & Bailey potentially returning. Hopefully that will be the making of him. Zach is better than Ben round Foxhall too so could be of benefit in any two legged ties against ipswich - dunno if the same goes for some of the other smaller tracks too? TTT
How sure is everyone on a Blodorn return? I can easily see him going to Birmingham in a straight swap for Z. Cook. 1. Kurtz 2. Z. Cook 3. Lidsey 4. Rew 5. Bewley 6. Zischke / Voulas 7. Mulford (RS)
