OldtimerRay
It is Charles Wright, probably makes Poole stronger as he rides the EWR really well and using R/R for Toft I fear the worst.

Fozzie4388
Second leg will be pointless. Pirates to win both legs easily
scunny1
Pirates with 4 big hitters, think we might struggle with R/R. Our reserves should be stronger , but Ablitt against the Pirates often has a shocker.

A major surprise if Scunny get within 10 points of Poole, hope I’m wrong. Edited September 29 by OldtimerRay
Steve Shovlar
Looking forward to this afternoons meeting. Do fancy our chances but take nothing for granted. Young Harrison at reserve has been scoring very well and taken some big scalps this season. We know Allen and Howarth will do well as well as Simon Lambert and all get an extra ride. Four points either way.
j2ohh
the world is waiting for the underdogs (Poo;e) to stop all the bs about their team and get behind a great club like Scunthorpe who build teams to produce entertainment for the fans from other teams and also their true supporters and not the glory hunters who MUST win at all cosst other teams . mon the scorps . 1

Why would Poole fans get behind Scunthorpe? Poole fans support Poole. Poole is built to entertain and win the same as every club.

The only bs about Poole is from other fans who seem to forget that all teams were built to the same points limit. Its then that the management work to get the best from their 1-7 to entertain, attract decent crowds and yes WIN. For Poole, mostly it works - sometimes it doesnt. For others, mostly it doesnt - sometimes it does! Up the Pirates.

If only more Teams could replicate the Poole formula,a lot of very jealous people on here.
IronScorpion
I heard that from a friend not long ago. I found it hard to understand as Heeps did better than Boughen in Oxfords last meeting here. Is it a Rob payment issue as MPT is our no1 on best money. What is he paying Boughen, reserve/2nd string rates?

I think Workington were doing a good job, albeit, with 5 riders until injuries played it's part. They did make the 1 change, though, at reserve.

It just gets a it tedious regarding the knocking of the Poole set up.Its pathetic from some people, I recognise it’s a forum and everybody can have an opinion though.
Steve Shovlar
If Boughen is in for Palm-Toft that is a ludicrous replacement, with all due respect. Do they think Boughen is going to score more than Lambert, Allen, Howarth and Mountain? Boughen is a good rider in the making and has a big future, but as number one? And with no T/Rs allowed, he has to take his allocated 4 rides unless replaced by a reserve.
