I love Tai, but give him a Testimonial Meeting in respect of his long service to British Speedway? Are they having a laugh?

I think you meant for his service to Polish speedway

Testimonials used to be 10 years at one club (or more if contracts bought out by BSPA like Kyle Howarth’s),  prior to 2024 Woffinden has not done a full season in UK since 2014, just a few meetings here and there at end of season when it’s suited him to earn a few extra quid,  it of a joke this one really

Totally agree with you. Hasn't ridden 10 consecutive seasons in his career, let alone with the same club.

I think fans who discredit this idea is taking the p!$$ to be honest.

Woffinden has almost singlehandedly lifted Great Britain back on the world stage.

Without this guy, we'd be nowhere near the medal tables in the 'Speedway of Nations', 'World Cup', 'Speedway Grand Prix'.

He has given our up & coming young lads something to believe in & aim for.

The belittling of his achievements & service by many to British Speedway overall is nothing short of absurd.

Disgraceful in fact.

Tai Woffinden IS a true 🇬🇧 legend

You may be right. Maybe his testimonial is awarded on the basis of his services as British speedway's ambassador to Poland!

One thing this AGM as confirmed is jack holder deciding to race in Uk.

Giving Poole Sheffield so holder bros can return to Poole for a bumper crowd

And then both ride for them in the next round...🤩

Not surprised we have let Kyle go, great captain and service to the club but you could tell things were going a bit stale for him last season. He is a very frustrating rider to watch as he will ride out of his skin one heat and beat a top rider then in the next he will be well off the pace against reserves.

Looking forward to the cup tie against Poole, interesting to see how they line up but always good to have a different team visit and maybe they are doing it to test the waters and a possible return to the top league which would be a boost for the sport.

Still believe having 3 reserves in Rowe, Gilkes and Flint will bite us in the arse, sometimes at home but especially away.  If top four don’t get 40+ points each meeting then can see more defeats than wins making top 4 a big challenge

It is a tough one, Holder brothers, Tai & Picko are great to watch no doubt but we got torn a new one at reserve last season and same will probably happen again unless Gilkes is more consistent and Flint really steps it up, not having a stronger number 6 again will be our achilles heel.

Pickering had a good month in 2024 and that was it rest of year rode to his average of 6, he needs two point a meeting on that at least.  Woffinden the main worry, if he’s not 100% come March/April we are basically carrying him, OK he might be 10/20 people through the gates but that’s not points to a team total.

Sure Tai has raced more than 10 seasons in Britain.

Would be the mid 2000's he started for Scunny.

He was also at Rye House before Wolves.
