Very surprised! Struggled in the Champ last season by his standards imo. Be interesting to see how he does as had 1 or 2 years away from the Prem now?

Scored 2+1, 2+1, 2, and 3 in his four visits as a Witch in 2023...

Well if it weren't Gilkes, Hume was always gonna be the best of the rest.

Think we've left ourselves a bit too vulnerable at reserve, Hume was really poor last season in a weaker championship and at this point in his career I cant see him improving much.

Hope he can prove us wrong but we'll see. Very interested to see what the situation is with Gilkes, shame as he really seemed well suited to Owlerton.

Sheffield's admission prices are a disgrace.

A 23 year on the minimum wage renting a place in Sheffield would pay £25.

A 70 year old who owns a £300,000 house and receives a generous defined benefit pension would pay £23.

How is this fair?

Have said this for while the student discounts for speedway are generally pathetic. I’m a Scunthorpe fan and a full time university student yet I still have to pay £18 the same as OAP’s and £2 less than an adult general admission which is £20. When you compare it to football it costs far less and people wonder why many young people aren’t interested in the sport!

Always thought Belle Vue should make more use the massive student population and fact that they generally reside on our side of the city.
A coach and admission + drinks ( not trying to get them legless) would be the way to go via the student union. We have a lot of (very) local schools rock up using free tickets but broadening it out to the city would be more beneficial.
The Polish community is another miss imo.

I believe Hume was signed because he's the best rider available, not because he had a good season last year (if he had a good season his average would've been too high).

Even if he does poorly, that's kind of to be expected from a 3 point reserve in a strong league.

It's pretty simple, Sheffield's top 4 need to win them matches, if they lose I wouldn't be blaming the signing of Hume.

Your persistent juvenile comments about "pensioners" are starting to grind, just like Starmer and Reeves you haven't got a ckufing clue. I'd like nothing more than to be able to pay £25 to see it live or afford the cost of a BSN subscription, the best I can do is Discovery plus. You have always been on the not so bright side Daniel but from my perspective it really is time to keep your posts and comments relevant and in perspective.

Sheffield should never have kept all 3 HL's, Not going anywhere with those reserves.

Totally agree, I like Danyon, did not do a bad job for Poole and then Glasgow a couple of years ago but was very poor for Ipswich and I would say he is not good enough for the premiership now.

With Gilkes it was a risky side imo but at least Gilkes had the scope to get better whilst Hume has had numerous chances in the Premiership already.
