Manifesto
Replacing Rowe for Howarth is a positive move. That team with Pickering firing is unreal especially at home. The semis against BV were decided by Pickos engine issues in the first leg and the Holder bro’s both having an off night in the home leg if we got past the semis we would of smashed Leicester. Not sure if Edwards and Gilkes would both be back as they were disappointing last season

TTT
If that is the team then it's one big risk, Probably the riskiest line-up we've seen in UK Speedway for some time when it comes to the higher profile clubs in the league. If Rowe gets injured then it's curtains for Sheffield because you cant get any decent replacement in or any decent guests considering his average is only 3.91. Pressure is immense on Picko as well and he'll need to have the season of his life for this team to work. Anyway he got a 5+ average at reserve, so even of he only gets 4 in the team, he's still good value on his average imo

Think the Holders and Woffy will maintain their averages, but then it's all the pressure on Pickering and Rowe to have a blinder of a season. Leaves us with a really unbalanced side and doesnt solve the problems we had last season. PTW
With that rumoured team I would be very happy with that powerhouse top 3 Pickering very gd back up most tracks now,Anders Rowe will find it tough but he’s only going in one direction and the reserves know the Sheffield track and all of the away tracks well enough now, you’ve gotta have a few risks in team building but also make sure you have enough heat winners and that team should have plenty. Moving up from a RS with a 2.67 (3.24) average in 2023, to the more difficult number 6 and getting a 3.55 (4.23) average is decent progress imo. Gilkes should maybe have done better, but can't see how people can fault Edwards.

As Sheffield topped the "qualification league" and won the KOC, I don't see why they'd necessarily need to change the team makeup (strong top end, 2 x RS at the bottom) because of the disappointment in the play-offs.
