Steve Shovlar
Well I guess that’s the best we could really do. Danny needs to improve from recent form. Bomber a fair replacement for Ben at home. Just like the premier league, the playoffs are being affected by injuries. The injury to Ben couldn’t have come at a worse time and clearly affects us. Think it’s the first time he has been out since joining us. Can only do the best we can and hope it’s enough. Best of luck to Danny and Bomber.

If you look at kings scores at Oxford they have been better than cook this season and bomber in the playoffs always delivers a big performance as he did last season for Glasgow when he dominated the Poole ht leaders so the only effect imo is it's made Poole stronger. Ben did get injured during 2021 season when he guested for Redcar. Think it was a wrist or hand injury.

The latter 2 cannot guest at Oxford cos their GSA's are too high. At Poole Ben's average of 8.72 has a +5% option for a guest. October's GSAs will give different (worse?) options if Ben is not fit to return. Kerr can be hit or miss IMO

Because the statements are not entirely accurate. Ben has 2 more Pirate finals after the Championship play offs. I wonder how long the doctors said when he was in hospital?

I know he’ll be desperate to ride again this season but with the huge bang he took to the head he may be better off just writing this season off and coming back fresh next year… you can never be too safe when it’s head injuries imo.
daz9100
Ben is keen to be back racing as soon as possible. He definitely doesn't think his season is over.

Ben should cut his season short and take a good time to recover for 2025 season . no poimt in doing the remaining fixtures . R/R will be good enough the win the Premiership silverware. . Who is to say Ben shouldn’t ride if he feels absolutely fine? There are trophies to win and if he is feeling no after effects, then he should be able to ride for his club.

I think he will get plenty of rest when the season is over, if he is fit to ride, no reason why he shouldnt.

Wasn’t it poor Ricky Ashworth who banged his head a couple of times in quick succession? Nobody wants a repeat of that.

Long term health more important than riding a speedway bike hopefully ben isn't put under any pressure to ride by the management or promotion.
