Article in this weeks star entitled TV switch fears, it all adds up to the fact at present that watching the GP,s and British Premiership this year will cost everyone around £31 a month extra, best of luck with that as I for one won’t be bothering and judging by the letters accompanying it I won’t be alone as the vast majority will be doing the same.

BSN for me going forward and I will be picking my meetings which I am sure will improve when the deal with Eurosport, Discovery + or TNT runs out.

It's difficult keeping up with it all isn't it?

I swapped from Sky go Virgin media, when it moved to BT sport. Virgin kept hiking prices, so I then swapped to BT (now EE) for my internet, phone & TV, with a sports package add on, including TNT & Discovery plus premium for £18 per month. The total package was £75.

My contract lasts till October this year, so hopefully I'm good for this season at least.

Best thing that can happen is TNT pay to get out of the contract and all Premiership racing / GP's move to BSN.

Can bump up the Premiership pass subscription, Can also do a GP pass subscribition too if BSN want to seperate the events up like they do currently with the Premiership/Championship.

According to Morris all 18 meetings will be broadcast by TNT this season 🤔

At the time meetings are broadcast live there will be 8 minutes of ads per hour(between 6pm-11pm). So you have to expect a meeting to last a minimum of 20 minutes longer plus 30 seconds intro and outro per ad break.

Speedway is a sport made for TV but I fear not live, its needs to be a hour prepacked programme, covering a couple of meetings and a couple of additional races of incident. Dont expect all 15 heats from a meeting they would drop the poor ones. Now with the limited concentration span of Z's & Alpha's a 60 second race is the ideal length of time to appeal to a new younger generation of fans

I agree 100%. live speedway of league meetings is not the best way to help our sport & that a magazine style format would be a better way forward. Along the lines of Match Of The Day with studio pundits showing & talking about the weeks events over a 1.5 hour time programme to show the best races from verious meetings & previewing coming ones

That all depends on your personal situation. I don't have a laptop, just a desktop PC, and I don't have a smart TV, so watching it on BSN would mean me and my other half squeezing into my office to watch it. The TV package I have through Virgin includes all the sports channels - Sky, TNT, Eurosport, etc. - so if the GPs and live Premiership matches move to TNT it won't cost me any more than it does now and I can still watch it from the comfort of my sofa. While some are complaining about the cost of TNT, the move to BSN would be costly to me.

After a very long period of using Eurosport, I have cancelled my Discovery.

Eurosport was reasonably priced.. but having to pay a premium price when all I Want is Eurosport is definitely not happening.

Hopefully, Quest will  still run on normal Tv.

Why would they have to pay to get out of the contract? As rights holders they could choose not to broadcast it.

Because that's what a contract is.

If I take a 2-year mobile phone contract, I still have to pay it even if I never make a phone call.

However if I want to switch elsewhere they may give me a bit of discount if I want to pay it off early.

Sky paid British Speedway to get out of what was left of their contract to show Speedway...

I presume it was much cheaper to do so than cover the remaining meetings in the agreement...
