Eurosport, terrible professionalism.

Suzi Perry was great,  but probably under-appreciated at the time as she was still cutting her teeth in the business when she did speedway. When Speedway was on Sky, she'd be interviewing riders walking back to the pits after they'd been brought off. I remember Jimmy Nilsen saying he would get revenge on Joe Screen while stomping back to the pits. It's great telly.

Now, if there's a crash, they cut to a bunch of over-60s eating their sausage and chips because they don't want to upset anyone.

Also, instead of cutting to some interesting conversation between races, we get long shots of stadiums with a tractor going round or race-re-runs with repeats of the races to the same old music every time. Every time that comes on, my 6 year old  complains that it's "that again" and that it's "boring".

Kelvin does his best, but it is a lot to expect an ex-rider to carry the whole programme - and his self-confessed maths problem is a major flaw as it's pretty key in the context of a meeting that if you are 10 points down then two 5-1s aren't going to get you a draw.

I must admit, I do find speedway on Eurosport a hard watch at times and don't always get to the end of a meeting. But it's Eurosport. It's always been poor for as long as I can remember.

There is a lot of space between races at a speedway meeting. The key is how to fill those spaces.

The only interview worth watching this season was Abi asking Hawkins about Sayfutdinov. She is ok in what is these days a low budget production

Just caught up with their coverage of Monday night, it was terrible as you'd expect, but they couldn't get off air quick enough, although scheduled to finish at 21:30 they cleared off at 21:00 without speaking to either of the team managers!

Nat seems to have disappeared  for a while. Last I saw of her she was working for BT Sports on  MotoGP with Suzi but since TNT Discovery took over I haven’t seen her. But Nat was excellent just like Suzi Perry has been for all the years she’s spent in MotoGP, they both seem to have a deep interest in the sport, like Suzi both seem relaxed and at ease with the job, unlike Abi. And I wouldn’t be surprised if Nat is a bit of a biker just like Suzi .

I don't understand that personal comments toward Abi. Comment regarding her professional skills, fine, getting personal, you can do better than that. 

As others have mentioned, directors will be telling her what guff to come up with, directors came up with the stupid #'s, is she going to say 'no - I'll do it my way' absolutely not, she probably appreciates her job.

It's easy to switch off for 2 seconds when she's talking if she's ruining the experience for you.

I was watching an old SGP on youtube the other day, think was Prague 2002. Had Millard and Tatum commentating and in all honesty the whole presentation was streets ahead of what it is now. And everyone (myself included) used to slate Millard!

Tatum is IMO fine as a back up but needs a proper commentator ahead of him. Pearson was superb IMO and is very badly missed. Pearson's excitement along with his excellent knowledge of the sport was brilliant and wont hear anyone tell me different. Pundits, presenters and commentators make errors in all sports at all levels and thought the people each week slating Pearson were a bit harsh. Granted Millard was a bit of a plank but still streets ahead of what we have now.

Watch an old SGP or Elite League meeting on youtube from 20 ish years ago and watch a modern day one and you'll see what I mean.

I find Chris Louis a very informative guy but he is as boring as they get when commentating.

When you had Pearson & Tatum commentating, Johnathan Green and Louis/Johno in the studio and Sophie Blake interviewing in the pits, it was pretty good.
