However i do agree that Ben is just a kid acting like a kid in a grown ups world. There are many younger riders who conduct themselves far more professionally off track. That said i am glad he has secured a place at Leicester and builds on the opportunity. and that’s why many of the kids don’t last long, they forget to have FUN ! Look what happened to Joe Haines, Kyle Bickley and quite a few others….all very professional and burnt out before they were in the mid 20’s !

Fortythirtyeight
Having seen the new fixture list it looks like home matches in May , June and July are as rare as Poole defeats ! Twenty plus days gaps between fixtures ? Hope they fill these with REGULAR FRIDAY Tigers fixtures or they will lose fans.

Unfortunately the fixture list is just about a copy and paste job.Certainly won’t attract newcomers and probably find a few more losing interest.

The problem is fans don't always attend in numbers to make more fixtures viable, obviously this isn't the case for every fan but maybe the majority? 1) Fans say "we want more matches" 2) Clubs put on a challenge match to start the season 3) fans don't turn up in great numbers, say they want official fixtures only 4) clubs put on NDL matches 5) fans don't turn up, say they want Championship level racing only 6) because Edinburgh, Glasgow, Redcar & Scunthorpe all race on Fridays, to make 2 home & 2 away work, clubs have to ride on an off- race night 7) fans don't turn up, say they want Friday matches only. Not saying the current situation is great, just that every solution / alternative has flaws. Edited 5 hours ago by szkocjasid

Not saying the current situation is great, just that every solution / alternative has flaws. Your assessment sounds bang on. If the fixture list was 2 home 2 away then fans would pick and choose leaving clubs with a hole in their pockets. The current set up is best of bad bunch but may be most sustainable and that is crucial.
Biffa
Just been reading that Scunthorpe v Redcar BSN fixture on Good Friday is a double header with Scunthorpe v Middlesbrough Tigers NDL Fixture. 3pm start. Well done both promotions for making it a worthwhile trip 👍

But, with only 8 teams to ride against in the CL, what do you expect? Also don't forget 3 others ride on a Friday and they are all in the North and one of them is in the same BSN Group!! So it needs a bit of planning but surely its not too much to ask to at least have home fixtures every fortnight ? That way you can cater for the other Friday night teams and fans get a regular race night and still fit the NDL fixtures in.

It's just a poor joke imo. Riss was the rider for January in Redcar's calendar, Ace is the rider for February. So by turning over the month in the calendar, Riss is "replaced" by Ace. I don't see the point of the post, apart from trying to worry Redcar fans? Guess I don't see any humour in that!

As if anyone actually buys a physical calendar anymore lol. Thought everyone just uses the one on their phone now. 1

There's nothing wrong with buying a physical calendar, it supports the club.

Use the one on my phone but having a physical one on display in the kitchen with columns for all four family members for their stuff is a great tool for not forgetting stuff. Plus a pouch at the bottom for letters etc!

I mean it's got 365 boxes to write things in divided by twelve pages so I reckon a calendar it is 😁
