Redcar 2025

Recommended Posts

1 Charles Wright © 8.37
2 Jake Mulford 4.27
3 Danny King 7.88
4 Jason Edwards 6.19
5 Erik Riss 7.35
6 Ace Pijper 2.94
7 Ben Trigger 3.00

Reserves are pretty weak aye, but that top 5 more than makes up for it and both do have experience in the league already.

Don’t think Ace will be there.

Would Riss not be on a converted premiership average of 8.42 since he didn't ride championship last year or am I getting the rule/calculation wrong?

Charles Wright 8.37
Erik Riss 8.32
Danny King 7.88
Jason Edwards 6.18
Jake Mulford 4.27
Ace Pijper 2.93
Tom Spencer 2.00
Total 39.95

Would be weaker reserves with that top 3.

Riss didn't want to ride in the Champ last year due to overseas commitments, had something changed or are people just hoping he'll come back to Redcar?

Also the fixtures will fit around him and Charles with them riding together for landshut at least he’ll have someone to fly out with for race days 🤣

With less fixtures in the Champ these days, should be easier to plan around Polish League matches. Plus Redcar have the option of putting in Middlesbrough NDL matches on when Wright & Riss aren't available.

It's already been stated by the promotion that Jake Mulford will start in one of the reserve slots, and at least 2 of that list (one of which I know definitely) won't be there next season.

Where was that stated?

Doubt Redcar will be able to avoid fixture clashes if they aren't available as I believe Redcar don't arrange the fixtures the SCB do and other clubs will be reluctant to change knowing they are missing as its to their advantage, particularly the fellow Friday night tracks who wont want to mess their own home fixtures up.

But then the ‘draws’ for the BSN and Cup have been conveniently rigged so who knows what they have ‘arranged’. Have the Polish fixtures been arranged yet ?

Trigger to Poole I reckon , which is a shame as I thought he did well. Pijper would be ok if there's a strong partner , Mulford? , but then you need a number 2, Newman to return perhaps ?

Wouldn't Jorgensen be an option instead of Riss / King ?

Dont see the aforementioned Tom Spencer being up to Championship standard and if paired with Pijper you are very weak at reserve.

1 Charles Wright © 8.37
2 Sam Hagon 4.73
3 Kye Thomson 6.53

7 Tom Spencer 2.00

Take out Erik and Ace and add Kye and Sam then? Makes it a bit more balanced, the reserves are slightly stronger with Jake starting there. I don't see Sam or Kye staying at their current teams so could be options.

Personally I don't see Tom being much worse than the likes of Max James last season, he's slowly cooking down in the NL without drawing too much attention to himself, but he's a tidy rider and partnered with either Jake or Sam all season he won't be under too much pressure.
