Rather both teams use their riders than have a guest come in because a rider is off form.

Going to be difficult for Pirates to start strong with Masters in heat one who is virtually unbeatable with Gilkes at two seeing of Hagon, then Killeen in heat 2 it should see Oxford 14 up. Lawson needs to beat Masters out of the traps. Not an easy task but one which needs to be made if Pirates can get that 12 points back. It really needed to be 8 or ten and worse.

I'm all for a bit of propaganda, but it has to be believable!

Masters is far from virtually unbeatable at Poole. He's done two meetings there this season and scored a whopping 16 (paid 19) from 11 rides. That's a rather underwhelming match average of 5.82 (6.91 inc. bonus).

Can't be your first experience of shovlar painting Poole as rank outsiders and any win would be against all odds surely?

He scored paid 11 in the last meeting from 5 rides,he was clearly off form at the start of the season. He isnt unbeatable but he is in top form currently and usually rides the Poole track extremely well.

The problem is even if Masters misses the start he leads into the first bend. And Nicholls loves the Poole track and usually charges through. Not many capable of beating Lawson from the back but Nicholls does.

SAM Hagon scores 13 from 5 for the Colts tonite, including winning heat 15 and 2 from-the-gate wins. Should boost his confidence.....

He may be overly pessimistic at times but he does have a point and 12 points is a very good lead, we couldnt overturn a 14 point lead last season could we!

Oh wow, that will help, I really like him and believe he has a lot of potential, lets hope he can bring that form on Wednesday

We couldnt handle him Saturday but Wednesday is a different day and hopefully Lawson will be on fire. Brennan wasnt great either but with a couple of days rest he should be better. Killeen is a worry because he is in great form and not sure we have a reserve who can compete with him.

Poole have to be favourites if Oxford use Gilkes and Scott.

Cameron Heeps has only scored 3 in each of his visits to Poole this year
Ashton Boughen is not fully fit
Dan Gilkes doesn't like Wimborne Road
Luke Killeen is unlikely to be fully fit after his crash yesterday
Jody Scott struggles to score points at home, let alone away

Masters and Nicholls can't do it all.

Heeps is usually poor at Poole, Boughen usually very good but struggling at the moment, Gilkes is usually not too good but he is in good firm. Thought Jody Scott rode quite well at Oxford for little reward and was 3rd in the U19 meeting.

This is the rose tinted scenario, just hope it turns out that way.

Spot on assessment.
