Oxford v Poole v Oxford; Weds 25th and Fri 27th Sept

Recommended Posts

Hagon scoring 6 tonight for Leicester has to be great news for the Pirates, if he can find some form it will make so much difference to the team. I think he's coming back, after all you don't become a bad rider over night, but you can loose your confidence for a while.

Just seen the latest forecast which shows heavy rain tomorrow evening. Frustratingly due early evening after a dry day meaning all the Poole fans will have made the journey before it’s

Or not. It's just changed. Earlier on it was saying it was cloudy on this one....

Hopefully rain comes in a lot slower than they are thinking, like 5 hours slower :D

With the current forecast they should call it off now, there have been many meetings called off on a forecast this season, just because it is a play off they won't call it off.

Half of Oxford is currently under water, so the state of the track at the moment is probably even more of a concern than how much is going to fall on Wednesday afternoon.

Oxford has history of trying to get meetings on though, some successfully - some not so. Don't expect an early call off.

People start getting jumpy when 2-3mm are forecast, but on Monday the city had 77mm - the heaviest rainfall for 56 years. Let's just say this will be a real test of their drainage system.

I would not put too much store on last night, a good score but wet track which others struggled with, if he got 3 at Oxford, most Poole fans would be happy with that.

Glad this forum has turned into the weather channel, never quite worked out how to look myself. 🤔

This has a slightly better outlook for tomorrow.

They will have the track prepared no doubt, but we are sweating on the weather late afternoon/evening. All they can do is prepare it and pack it down tight.
Sadly they are on a win win situation, if it gets called off, they sadly will get the second leg, unless Matt and Dan say no .  So make of that what you will !

What you laughing for Tyretrax

The track is currently looking okay....considering the circumstances. Bend four still flooded, but the rest of the track is in good condition. It will be fine by tomorrow.

Question remains, how much rain will arrive tomorrow though?

The 3rd and 4th bend was under 2ft of water at midday
