It only happens in speedway

Spires and Cheetahs two different teams but had Bomber been allowed to guest at Oxford for Poole, that would have been interesting, on his home track in front of his home fans, after all, they might have two teams at Oxford, but it’s not two sets of tracks or two sets of fans.

Would the fans applaud Bomber if he cost the Cheetahs the tie?

Bit of early morning light rain forecast before drying out on Wednesday.

Heavy rain in the morning and light showers in the afternoon it is saying now, so might be a bit iffy. Friday at Poole looks good atm though.

If it’s rained off on Wednesday, will Poole go ahead in Friday? Not sure we will give up second leg.

Think the weather will change a lot over the next 24 hours so we shall see. Same with Poole Friday, prep the tracks knowing rain is around and take all the heavy dirt off. Oxford did it at the first match of the season against Birmingham that I went to and worked well.

I think we would have to considering we have 3 finals to do and Oxford won't ride on Weds 2nd Oct! I low key prefer having first leg anyway.

What a great advert for speedway that would be.... "meeting postponed because Poole want to host the second leg..."   For Heavens sake.

Countryfile weather for the week showed possible rain Friday in the south, but that's a long way off.

Says on the Poole website it is because Oxford couldn't field a full team.

Maybe due to the European U19 Championships at Herxheim the following afternoon where Luke Killeen and Ashton Boughen (reserve) are riding? Luke Harrison is also in that meeting so I wonder if he’ll be riding for Scunthorpe at Poole on 2 October?

I hear this every year, but clubs shouldn't be able to avoid racing in good weather just because they want the second leg.
