Glasgow 2025

Delighted with that team.

Statistically the two most improved riders in the Championship last season in Boughen and Thompson.

I don’t rate Flint, but he has a second chance here and with one season under his belt, will hopefully kick-on.

Hodder’s 6+2 from four while guesting in the last home fixture of the season speaks volumes for his potential.

Nothing needs to be said about Harris.

We’re favourites for this league title. It’s coming home.

Waiting for the Redcar team first as, if they are having Riss, Wright and King, that is some top 3!

I would disagree. Harris trumps the lot but the Redcar trio are all ahead of Howarth and Thompson at the moment. King was carrying an injury for a lot of last season

Even Harris is not the force he was away from home last season. If that’s the Redcar Heatleader trio they look a strong Team.

Sam Masters, Richard Lawson & Charles Wright are the only 3 riders, who had a higher away average than Harris, who will be riding in the Champ this season.

Even if you believe Harris was poor away last season (I don't) he'll be better this year because more top riders have left the Champ.

I never said he was poor.

You have missed out Cook and Pickering.(it’s nothing to do with who’s riding this season in your quote)I was referring to last season.

Howarth needs to improve from last season, he was very poor sometimes also Flint had a few off meetings and Boughen was very poor at the end of last season plus you always need at least one good reserve so the hope is Hodder can be that one, he did getb 6 at his last meeting, so it isn't as straightforward as some may think.

So going by this appraisal there is now no point turning up. Howarth is piss Flint is poor our reserves are crap and Boughen is also poor.

Now as we know Poole fans cannot see beyond there superstars.

Thanks for your ultra positive input but I think I will wait to they actually start the season and then write everyone off with the exception of you know who.

I did not say that, this is a good team just not unbeatable as some seem to think. Certain riders need to be more consistent. Don't know why Howarth did not have a great season, could be machinery so that is fixable, riding with Harris in both leagues will no doubt help Boughen and I hope it does because I think he has a bright future in the sport. Flint has been up and down for a couple of seasons but on his day can beat anyone, Dan T I rate highly and wanted him at Poole, rather have him than Lewis Kerr any day.

Fair enough your opinion. Flint I agree with he was inconsistent but to progress himself he needed to move from his comfort zone.

Howarth will add a point to his average riding for Glasgow next season,  had too many meeting for Scunthorpe having 6 rides (covering for MPT) which always makes it hard to maintain average.  The track will suit him more than Scunthorpe which was hard on bikes with all the holes and bumps in it. Was told he cracked 3 frames in home meetings due to roughness of the track which shouldn’t be the case at Glasgow. I believe that they have got him on a bargain average
