A lot of sports stars have come to regret walking away whilst their careers were in full swing. I'm pretty sure he won't feel any better being an ex-rider. Sometimes you've just got to ride the storm until it has passed. Just my opinion on the matter. Unless if it was the pressure and stress of racing that were getting to him. Hope he has a good future whatever he does.

If you love doing something yet are constantly hounded and abused by the people watching it then it's hard to keep at it! If you've never been a rider or involved with them then you wouldn't understand the stress and pressure they feel. On track with 3 other riders going 60mph with no brakes needs full concentration and commitment! Best thing to do is step away and live life for yourself and get back to the person you were before everyone thought they had a right to abuse you. He can still sit on a bike and do laps that he'll enjoy with no one there to criticise him!

I have no way of knowing what any rider asks for, I can only assume a Champ standard rider wouldn't make himself unemployable at Champ level if he wants to ride in the Champ. I can only comment on what happened, when Leicester moved up a league, no one signed Dan T, despite his potential. To bring it back to Glasgow 2025, I think Tigers will be very happy with their new signing.

Diamonds85
I don't know Dan or Joe at all, but just looking in from the outside they seem very respectful and not spoilt little kids like some others are... hope they both can go far in the sport.

One day at Glasgow he got off his bike , after the race ended , and went into the crowd to confront the bloke shouting abuse .

Wasn't that more to do with their dad doing both their bikes so needed to be in the same team? Not such a problem now as one of them (Joe?) has his own mechanic now.

Plymouth wanted both of the lads but Dan wanted to keep Saturdays clear in case he gets a chance in Poland

GoGoDaz
I'm a returning Tigers fan after MANY years away. Used to go with my dad as a kid to Shawfield every week and occasionally Ashfield, but since his passing 5yrs ago, it's never felt right going alone. No sense wasting more time so I've already bought my season ticket. Looking forward to watching our exciting team (especially Bomber), enjoying some good racing and meeting new people. We can't let this sport drift away.
