Glasgow 2025

Does appear to go well for Glasgow, definitely rides Ashfield way better than Northside which is a little hard to explain as both are good race tracks. Claus turned in some big away performances for Worky, Berwick twice, Plymouth and Redcar come to mind.

Similar tracks shape wise but track material very different. Claus has said in interviews he likes clay, something Workington can't go too heavy with it due to the tracks location.

Am i seriously missing something? Boughen has signed for Oxford, i dont understand why people keep predicting him signing for Glasgow?

Being announced and being signed are two totally different things as Courtney is finding out.

Looks like we have a winner. I don't see a 'naw it isnae' comment on either

Plus it fits with Cammie Brown's interview of all British based, couple of experienced riders plus the others have the opportunity to increase their averages

Just looking at the potential top 4 for Glasgow if they get the lower end right  they defo would be in the shake up next year

Harris 9.07

D Thompson 7.36

Flint 6.68

Howarth 7.27

Total  30.38 with a 40.00 limit leaves enough for bottom end

thoughts?

Weak reserves if that’s the case but a very gd top 5 enough to get you through meetings, much better on paper than last years team if that happens.

We went that way once before years ago, shane, stancl, grieves and banga Bentley as top 4. But reserves were hopeless didn't end too well. If, and big if, that is the transition need one of the reserves to improve a fair bit

The only rider capable of that would be Hodder I think a risk worth taking as you can drop one rider like Poole did if someone is doing really well in national league bring them in,that top 5 should look after itself.

One interesting with this version of the team is that the reserves are almost certain to stay at reserve all season. I’d argue this is a good thing as you’d hope the other five could all hold their own in their respective positions.

If the rumours are true , and this is the team , then it's quite an exciting prospect .

Bomber will do what Bomber does , score well and entertain us . Dan Thompson could really kick on next season and become the second heat leader . Leon Flint looked to be finally getting the hang of Ashfield towards the end of the season just past.  Kyle Howarth is a proven performer and will ride to his average . Young Mr Boughen could be capable of much improvement.

Yes the reserves look a bit on the weak side , but they are young lads and you just never know . I'm confident Freddie Hodder can compete adequately in the home fixtures at least .

Will the 3/4 pairing be a powerhouse or will they stifle each other? Could go either way. Would Pearson and Smith instead of Howarth and Perry give a better balanced side. Perhaps but guess it's too late now.

It's a good thing if they are pushing up to 4 point averages but stay at reserve so their scoring doesn't suffer, for example Luke Harrison compared to Sam Hagon.

It's not a good thing if they both stay under the minimum 2.00 average, as Glasgow will be very weak at the bottom end.

I personally don't see a lot of improvement in them. Whoever is at 6 I think will really struggle.

Hodder at 7 would be a decent signing, easier position than last year, so would expect him to put a point on his ave, if that leaves Spencer / Perry at 6, I'd expect them to score like McGurk this year. Depends how often Cami swaps the reserve rides round obviously.

Pearson & Smith would be far stronger at home imo

It's a good top 5 no doubt. But I always think winning sides need a strong reserve. I assume we've built like Poole did this year, but hagon was always going to improve at reserve and then landed foord so reserves were still scoring points. Hodder was great in the Oxford meeting so hopefully he can do but I don't think it's a certainty like hagon was
