Tue or Thursday won’t attract many away fans .IMO

We don't get many away fans as it is on a Friday, I am sure we would get some on a monday or thursday initially as very few premiership fans have been to Glasgow

Only the Promotion know the financial situation for moving up a league, and if it is viable or risk against reward. The racing at Glasgow is superb most weeks and personally don’t think it would increase the crowd in any great numbers for a lot more expense.

True, however another year with fixtures so far apart will kill us off quicker, if not a premiership then lets have a proper ndl team along with championship, I do realise that junior racing is generally not well supported at present but if it meant racing most weeks instead of 5 week gaps it may work

Would agree regarding regular racing, think all fans agree fixtures leave a lot to be desired and need fixing. The NDL is one way but it’s not actually thriving IMO.We will just have to wait a see what they come up with.

Given attendances at youth events and even U21 finals I can't see how NDL would every be a consideration tbh, guaranteed loss maker imo.

Prem and champ might be interesting and no doubt draw few more fans of local clubs don't see the big names. But really the champ just has to get it's act together and stop being dictated to by Phil Morris. Sort out a proper fixture list. We might have to accept missing riders more regularly but I'd take that over 6 weeks no fixtures in the summer

I don't care what level of racing we have at Glasgow next year, but 11 home meetings a season is a joke. With the millions that have been invested in the club and facilities it would be nice to showcase it more than once every third Friday. It's always easier to spend other people's money so the Facennas will make the call.

On the attendance nonsense. Glasgow raced midweek this year and between that and Friday nights I didn't see a collosal difference. I am positive that if the club decided to double up and Oxford have shown that it can be done, Edinburgh fans would be there to support the away teams for sure to see the superstars in the league.

genuine question as i don't know, did the champ decide 1 home and away rather than 2 because of morris?

They were separate points. However Phil Morris's role in creating a better premiership has been to severely weaken the championship. That's affected attendances which imo has led to some promoters choosing less meetings as will lose less money. So in a way yes, I'd say he is to blame

U21/youth events don't have great attendance, but I think that would only partially apply to NDL. People prefer to support a team, generally. NDL provides that, albeit the level would put some off.

Nothing wrong with NDL entertainment wise but the ancillary costs + some riders seem to earn decent points money makes it difficult financially for a promotions without decent sponsers on board IMO.

Fraser bowes looking for a Scottish based mechanic for the 25 season.  Hmmmm

Hasn't really kicked on in Poland. Think he's approaching 24 so u24 league in Poland soon be unavailable to him. Makes sense would look to Britain now.

This year it will because of the threat of one club pulling out, as it cannot fit in 2 home and away with 25+ meetings in the year.

I am sure it was on BSPA Website before start of 2023 season it was going to be 2H 2A. So looks like it changed at the AGM to remain at 1H 1A.

Then get rid of them, so the rest of us have a sport to watch. If we cave in to the lowest common denominator, we're all done anyway.

We've got the NDL tail wagging the Championship dog. NDL teams shouldn't expect to race on the parent clubs race night unless the parent club is racing away that night. Similarly to have 2H and 2A, the principle of race night seniority needs to be revisited and changed such the senior club gets priority on the first meeting but not on the second meeting. All clubs will need to accept that they will have to race on their alternative racenight during the season.

Agree most Clubs reluctant to race on their Alternative racenight, probably due to their own rider availability, once again I say riders are running the show to the detriment of the paying fans.I just wonder how many Clubs increase their attendance figures this season.
