What kind of excuse is that?! You're attitude is really poor. Do you think my grandmother would have survived the mortar shells at Gallipoli with that kind of attitude? She'd have been court martialed and shot and deservedly so! The league should make an exemption for the Tigers and let them have an extra ten points no matter what Poole fans may think. In fact Poole should start with a 14-point limit imho.

Anyone watching speedway at Ashfield would say that the racing has improved year on year. If that is the product and it has improved then does the points limit really have much impact? Have admission prices increased by much more than inflation in recent times? It seems that too much importance is placed on the points limit every year by promoters and fans alike when there is so much more to the sport. Speedway fans often like to throw stones at their own sport rather than enjoy the sporting spectacle which is just as good as most other sports. There is room for improvement but are things so bad to warrant the frequent negativity that is on display on this forum? Ashfield is a great spectacle for the sport. The general watering down does nothing help in general.IMO You have to ask why the sport is not attracting new fans and retaining them based on what you are saying.

They seem to ignore that he's barely ridden those tracks, is still only 19, and has shown fantastic week-by-week improvements at Ashfield. The away improvements would come naturally, but I keep hearing this line about the away average from too many people, so either someone is playing a weird bluff, or they're not interested in having him back. Sad if they're not willing to invest a second year in the one guy who has shown real potential. I hope he makes them regret it if that's the case, because he was first on my list. He's not the complete package yet, but he's working it out pretty fast.

That's where Dan Thompson was 12 months ago - sure any team would have been happy to benefit from the progress he made in 2024.
Kerryxo
Can I ask - and sorry if this has been asked before - why do Glasgow only run one team? If Oxford can run 3 in a shared track, why can Glasgow not have at least 2?! IMO would be great for attracting and retaining new fans, especially if the 2nd team was prem. Jaizer
Adds 1.5 to his average despite woeful management of him at reserve and not deemed good enough to return. Madness.

I think they were considering an NDL team for 2024 late last year, but decided against. There were a few factors: it would require more volunteers, more track staff time, probably another team manager as it would be a lot for Cami to do that as well - he does have a life outside of speedway! Also, they were pretty pissed with the way the end of the NJL season was handled. No idea how much the extra cost of running a team in NDL factored in, but the practical side of things was definitely part of it.

Started without a Champ club, Birmingham used him for 28 days but didn't keep him, then finally got signed by Plymouth & sadly go injured. It's a surprise no one saw his promise. Hope he remembers this & stays loyal to Plymouth. As for Pearson he reminds me of Connor Bailey, had a 7 home but 3 away average, so they let him go.
