MP78
From reading that article it sounds like King's hand still isn't great... For me signing him is a gamble. On one hand (no pun intended) it may struggle to improve - I'm no clinician, but every op generates scar tissue and that appears to be part of the problem already. However on the other, if he gets that hand back working and he has 3 genuine heat leaders (Brennan incoming hopefully) carrying the scoring load, then the pressure will be off and he could have a solid season. I genuinely hope its the latter and ready as ever to get behind the riders we have!

Though im sure first meeting of the season lets say home to Belle Vue and he is in heat 1 and gets third behind Doyle and Kurtz that some Ipswich fans will moan about it lol It is unfortunate the flak Danny gets which is undeserved, he is a very nice guy who puts everything in for the team but for some because of the amount of years he has been at Ipswich some seem to think he should be getting high scores every home meeting. He is genuine and only wants the best for the team, he did not have his best season but that could be a bonus as his average is lower than perhaps it should be. It was a sad day for me when he left Poole to rider for Redcar but that is how it goes sometimes.
RoundTheBoards
So it's Adam Ellis who is heading off to Birmingham?

It is a risky one as they’re banking on more surgery correcting the problem but as you rightly say, there’s no guarantees. Fingers crossed. GeneralMelchett
Happy to see Danny back - sorry to see whoever leaves leave to be frank - there team was fine last year and only a bad run of injuries probably prevented a win but thats what happens sometimes. I don't get the anti Danny stuff on SM either it wouldnt occur to me ever to post stuff like that but there you go - think not being at no3 will be good for him. TTT
King looks like a risky signing on paper but it's also a risk worth taking if Brennan has put pen to paper. King at No.2 with no pressure on him when partenered with Doyle or Emil 3 times a night would see him put good points on the board imo. Like Ellis said last season, Doyle and Emil made everyone's jobs easy.

And fancy having those two in the pits helping out. it looks like the same team with Ellis leaving to make way for Brennan.

He also intimated at the speedway show that Brennan was leaving Brum but Lord Tolley said "are you sure about that?" Think Chris is the sensible one out of the two, Ipswich would've just offered Brennan a better deal and a better chance at winning silverware. Tolley is the same man who said he'd sign Zmarzlik because money's not a problem and then look at what happened a couple of weeks ago lol.
