Already seen this years kevlars, Doyle was wearing them at the Peter Craven! Not that they’re much different from season to season these days with the Tru colours.

I noticed that too. Emil had his own Kevlars on but both Emil and Doyle had the new Tru bike livery.

You’re right about the kevlars being similar every year under the current sponsor, there’s only so much you can do with a black/Green combo. Just a few small tweaks on the Green placement is about it. They’re not cheap either so makes you wonder if it’s worth some of them even getting a new set if their last season’s ones are still in good nick? None of them would look out of place either way.

Has Jim Radcliffe bought Ipswich?

😂

You’ll see what I mean this morning when the pictures come through from today’s press day. You’ll be hard pressed to tell the difference between this years to last years so just seems a bit daft to me to fork out for brand new kevlars when last years are still ok. Especially when all we hear from riders is the moaning about spiralling costs of riding!

I’m still stuck in the past anyway and prefer the old race jackets but that’s another story. I do understand the need for matching team suits though for the professional look.

Waste of money.  Riders have their own sponsors on them, I get that, but it's now a club/sponsor expense rather than the riders' responsibility.  Much prefer a race jacket and suits which show the individuality of the riders.

They’re literally the same as last year except the yellow cuts off a little sooner and is not a full stripe 😆

Correct me if I'm wrong, But aren't BV still using the same suits as last year?

I saw that they had different kevlars on the bikes but the suits in the P & P photo looked the same to me.

Anything interesting from last nights meet the riders?

I assume King is skipper partnering Doyle at 2.

Interesting to see Ellis on Godden Engines yesterday afternoon..

Hawkins confirmed riding order for next week as: 1) Doyle 2) King 3) Ellis 4) Brennan 5) Sayfutdinov 6) Thompson 7) Jenkins but that he is likely to move it around as usual throughout the season

Madness! Bit like the town playing in blue every year! 🙃

Must admit I found the move to race suits very good - it not like they are charging £200 quid for replica race suits for the fans is it!

Powerhouse of a team when you look at it like that. That engine room of Ellis and Brennan looks as though it could be fruitful. Strong at reserve also. If it stays injury free I can’t see anyone to touch it.

No but on that front I'm surprised more fans don't buy team shirts - football fans seem to love wearing them to games or outside in general.  Don't you find it difficult sometimes to tell who's who, particularly on TV?

Same here tbh, personally feel it appears much more of a professional team having a team suit

Can’t say I find it difficult really, so long as you know who’s in red/blue on your team etc in each race its easy enough to follow

Agree with all those points

Just seen Doyle had an off tonight hopefully he is ok?

Wasn’t a heavy crash but landed on his left shoulder which is obviously a concern. Took a while to get to his feet but once he did, didn’t seem to be in too much discomfort. Fingers crossed he’s ok for tomorrow.

Didn't look on the pace all night though tbh. On the flip side, Ellis and particularly Brennan did. Well done to Tom on winning the Ben Fund.
