You're not paying to watch the second string or reserves. I’d be paying to watch all the team as I want to win the league and not selected heats. Each to their own I guess!

And you got a cup match in it. So that makes the 13th meeting.

Exactly same team as last year apart from Tom in for Rew. The sport in general is at an inflated price for the action you see and that's why it's so hard to attract new fans to the sport in this country. Tbf at that stage of the season there was nothing riding on the fixtures till the play-offs started, that could also have affected the crowds.

Any many got used to them losing and didn't want to come along and witness another loss. Winning is attractive. I go simply to see good racing, no matter who wins.

So hard to attract new fans when you're charging £24-£30(if you sit in some grandstands) for 15/17 mins of action depending on track size. I’ve just watched the first half of ITFC vs Crystal Palace, and there was nothing of interest in 45+3 minutes of mostly passing the ball backwards - yet people are happy to pay £££s for that …

For some reason people will pay for Premier League football which is often a rather dull affair - the ball is often in play for only 55-60 minutes of the 90. As someone who has over the years attended a lot of spectator sports I still think a decent speedway match tops the lot.

At least the facilities at Portman Road are an upgrade on anything Foxhall provides. And I guess the atmosphere is slightly better, if only British Speedway was 1% as successful as premier league football hey

Even Ice Hockey is getting (at least), double the crowds . Speedway is a tiny, tiny minority sport in the grand scheme of things.. Some seem to think it should be followed by hundreds of thousands.. Run it like Poland, and you may have chance.... Otherwise, cut your cloth, and accept it for what it is .. A bit "made up, Mickey Mouse" stuff that can be a great night out if you ignore someone trying to make you believe it really means something that it clearly isn't..
