Ipswich Witches 2025

Recommended Posts

After taking all the announcements that have come over the last couple of week in I have to say that the class of 25 looks great.

Yes I was one of those who wanted to see us part ways with King & retain Rew instead. However Emil Jason & Tom should take the pressure off the rest so hopefully they can enjoy their speedway.

Reading the interviews again last night I think it’s clear Danny was close to the exit door however something appears to have changed with Rew at the 11th hour & King kept his place.

If the rumours about Rew wanting more than Louis was willing to pay is correct, that was a misjudgment on Rews part trying to force more more than Louis was prepared to pay when Louis in effect had 8 riders to fill 7 places.

Hopefully we’ll see Rew back at Foxhall in the future & I wish him all the best. However I’m not certain if Belle Vue is the right place for him if that’s where he ends up.

Roll on March!!

Just look at the results at NSS  nothing to fear good team yes but beatable I'm sure you would get same answer if you asked Brady or any other member of the team they will be confident and I share their beliefs :t:

I remember Doyle and Emil sending the Belle Vue faithful home silent in heat 15 semi-final in 2023. That was brilliant. All the Aces getting hyped after heat 13 getting a 5-1 but our boys turned it around. So you do have something to fear.

A club with ambition. Going to be unstoppable

I would say there are a few clubs with similar ambition and similar financial backing

The league is starting to rebuild a strength that a top league should be at

The question now is whether that can be matched with the necessary integrity, and leveraged to gain a greater following and attract outside backing in order to continue the virtuous circle.....

Fair play to Louis, nice to see on the youngster development front. Also even MORE work to the track to try and improve the racing at Foxhall. He’s doing everything he possibly can within the restrictions he has to provide the best racing possible there. Proper Speedway man. Not many left these days unfortunately.

I believe that his head was turned by two clubs offering a substantial up tick on points money.

No issue with him looking after number 1 financially, as speedway is a short career.

Hopefully, we may see him back in the future.

Fair play to ipswich for bothering, because obviously nobody else is, but isn't this just reintroducing the British U19 final? A little underwhelming given the BSPL fanfare but credit to ipswich anyway.

I thought the same and there was an U19 event this year so potentially undermining/replacing that. Certainly no argument that track time, mentoring and equipment/vouchers are very good prizes but the initial fanfare leaves the announcement feeling a bit flat

Nobody else is?

It happens every year. WTF is this fanfare nonsense. Run a junior team and stop trying to hoodwink gullible fans.

Chris Louis has announced a series of speedway meetings to be held at Ipswich in 2025. “We know this motorcycle sport is quite popular in Poland so we decided to treat bike fans to it in this country by being the first to stage this unique sport. Believe it or not these bikes don’t have brakes” Louis continued. “Following our recent invention of the wheel we thought it only right to see them in action on a racetrack. We always look to innovate and this aligns itself with last year’s initiative where we had bears pooing in Foxhall Woods - a first for both bears and woods”.
