King or Ellis at 2?

I'd start Danny. Cracking side, barring injuries, should scrape into the play offs....

Ellis at 2 for me personally. Let him ride with his mate. King and Brennan could make a good pairing at 3 and 4. King prefers the outside, Brennan more an inside line rider. Could work well.

So if Birmingham were to say "vote for a lower limit or we pull out"

And Ipswich say "vote for the higher limit or we pull out"

I wonder what everyone around the country would vote for....

They’ll be no vote. The sport pretends to be democratic but is anything but as those on the top table call the shots. As has been proven on many occasions what Ipswich want Ipswich get and to hell with the rules. If it came to the above Ipswich would happily see Birmingham close if it helped them get a bit of tin.

Watching him last season I would say likes the outside but would use inside if working better. Although does tend to 'race' team mates. Won't just sit behind them.

And here he is. Took him all of 20 minutes for his anti Ipswich bullsh!t. Bit slow actually!! Expected better.

No, no, no! I have a thing about right and wrong. I’m not bothered who or which team it is, I just champion what is right. If you hear from me a lot, you are doing something wrong - a lot.

Just from the teams this year, Birmingham, Leicester and Oxford don’t hear from me and now Busters currency has waned Kings Lynn don’t either.

Well the other clubs might be keen on having Doyle or Sayfutdinov lead their team, so call Ipswich's bluff lol!

Every rider that signs comments on how much Ipswich is the most professional club they’ve ridden for. Not some of the riders, literally ALL of them. that’s no coincidence. Everything that Chris Louis does is to a high professional standard, from insisting not only on the now mandatory team kevlars, but also matching bike livery and fork covers that some clubs don’t bother with, To hiring professional photographers for pre-season photo shoots in a studio and making sure the social media accounts are properly run.

He also makes sure every rider is paid bang on time.

He’s hired people (at his own expense) who are experts in their field, to source and recruit sponsors and partner sponsors to help fund the club and allow them to be ambitious in providing a team worth watching. It takes effort and commitment, that Chris Louis has no problem doing.

If every promoter and club acted in exactly the same way and showed the same effort and commitment to the sport in this country, then the sport here would be in a much healthier position.

Any criticism of Ipswich speedway is wrong, and completely misguided.

Technically, the Final set of Green Sheet averages is for the current year ... it's the only set that is relevant to 2025 team building (for those who rode in 2024).

Correct, but they don't take into account all the meetings staged in 2024 and nothing else. GSAs are the only thing relevant for team building, not as useful as 2024 averages when comparing how riders performed in a calendar year.

What does the “GSA” stand for on the 2024 statistics page then? No they’re not rolling averages that are used for team building/positions, but they’re an accurate statistic over performance for this particular season. They show averages for League meetings this season with bonus points, and a Green Sheet average for League meetings this season.

Well no it really can’t can it? It’s an accurate average on a full season’s performances in league meetings. Those stats don’t lie. I personally find these useful and a more accurate guide to a rider’s progression or regression from their previous season’s “average”. I do agree though that as these averages are not used for official purposes, they may as well include all meetings although with some riders riding play off meetings and some aren’t, it will skew them slightly for comparison purposes. As will some riders not riding every league meeting through injury but there’s nothing you can really do about that.

But they do lie, don't they, because it's not a '2024 average' if you don't take into account all meetings surely? By all means say a '2024 league average' and you'd be right, but it's false to only include league meetings when stating the term '2024 average'. The simple fact we disagree proves my point.
