TTT
Ellis was a no brainer imo. Maybe Doyle's had a word as well as I've watched the videos on X with Ipswich riders being asked questions and Doyle name dropped Ellis a couple of times. Ellis said 'Pretty much the same' in the PR which suggests 1 team change (Brennan)

cowboy cookie returns?
If Rew is missing it’s got to be either he isn’t doing the UK or he wanted more than Louis wanted or could pay. Other than that it makes no sense to have King in place of Rew. We will find out in the next couple of days.

All Rew would need to do is hold the inside then he bound to pass King as Danny will be on the wrong line out wide like he has been for the past couple of seasons! He waves the opponent passed on the inside coming out of bend 2 a fair bit

Not that it makes a lot of difference but is Rew an Ipswich asset?
siggysigalos
A lot of people hear different things, and supporters talk, and this time of the year as ive been told by very reliable sources, that things can literally change at the very last minute. It may of happened here, but it may not of done, Doyle and Brennan could easily be the last 2 announced and Keynan has decided to go somewhere else, whatever the final decision by the club is made we as Supporters just need to buckle down and get on with it. I was one of those that didn't think Danny Should return this season, and I standby that, but i certainly won't be against him once those Witches Kevlars are on him in early March. He has taken some serious stick over the last 24 Hours from some quarters, and I'm always a big believer in if you pay your money you are entitled to an opinion....But some of the rubbish Danny has received over Yesterday and today for me is a bit OTT, have a sporting opinion yes, but let's not let it turn nasty. He has a Family that reads this stuff as well. To be fair, my 2 sources are not far out with the Ipswich side they predicted, and i still trust them, quite a few of us, if not ALL of us thought one of Danny or Adam would be the one to make way for Brennan, and it could be Rew who makes way due to a number of reasons. We will just have to wait and see, still could be twists and turns....

Suppose if he is the one to go( not nailed on yet, although seems very likely) and they really wanted Brennen, Rews loan fee would offset Brennen's and with Sayfutinov and the expected Doyle in the team, certainly not cheap. Of course he may have wanted to go to a team with more Aussies in it. Edited 7 hours ago by gazzac

Ipswich (probably) have Doyle, so if this applies to Rew maybe he needs at least two.
TTT
We'll find out tomorrow if Brennan is in imo. If Doyle is announced tomorrow then I'm pretty sure they wouldn't save Rew until last considering the management know that everyone wants Brennan. You can work the social media platforms over the weekend / early next week if you leave Brennan until last, Keep everyone guessing for a few days. ouch
Fair play to Ipswich for going with the same team as last season. We were told many, many, many times how they would have walked the league but for their injuries and with their play off opponents having to de strengthen it makes the task this coming season even more cut & dried. Let the battle commence for us losing finalists. The nonsense about enticing Tom with big bucks from a Birmingham team skating on thin ice is thankfully put to bed. Making a trophy cert unnecessarily stronger to the detriment of one of your business partners is just insane. We all want trophies but there is a way to go about it - we ain’t Poole after all. Buying titles never goes down well with the fans, sponsors or occasional tv audience so great to see and well done Ipswich.

The problem is we might walk the league & finish top going into the play offs but then we have to beat Belle Vue at some point over two legs. We would have far more chance of that with Brennan for King. Overall if it is the same side as 2024 we can’t complain to much however we would certainly have missed a golden opportunity to strengthen with one change. cowboy cookie returns?
Whatever team we end up with I’ll be there supporting them every week next season regardless if it’s the same side as 24 or with the addition of Brennan. I am one of those who wanted to see King replaced this winter & I know not everyone agrees but you pays your money and as a supporter you are entitled to an opinion. Personally I can only see Danny’s form dipping further next season we should done as Sheffield have with Howarth & said thank you for your service but it’s time for a change. The above doesn’t mean I’m not a true supporter & I will always get behind the riders that pull on the Witch. Now if Danny proves me wrong I’ll be the first to say I was wrong on here & take the stick for it. Lets see who the final 2 are over tje next few days!
Bagpuss
Doesn't matter if it's Rew, Brennan or Uncle Tom Cobbley, Ipswich are going to start the season as the team to beat once again.

Like quite a lot of people, I'd been told, by someone with a good track record of being right, that Brennan was on his way to Ipswich and Danny King was on the move. I'm convinced this information was good up to within a fortnight ago. With Danny King's signing being announced, either that information was wrong, or something has changed last minute. I suspect it is the latter. If Brennan signs next, as I think he will, it suggests that Rew has changed his mind, and Ipswich have gone back to King. If Rew signs next, it will leave Ipswich around a point under the limit. Can't see that being done voluntarily, so could it be a Phil Morris intervention to stop Birmingham being raided of their best takent? I still think Brennan will be the next Witches signing, but it's interesting times. It will be a shame if Rew opts out of Britain.

spin king
So with 5 riders announced it will be interesting to which combo they go with. Doyle/ Rew or Doyle/ Brennan Either way it looks like a very tidy team and 2025 could be their year. If they can get Adam Ellis back to where he was in the first season at Sheffield then they will be really flying.
