ShanoXtra
One word. Loyalty! Got to love and respect Emil for what he has given to Ipswich, on and off the track. Doyle must love riding with him, looking over his shoulder or following him over the line knowing they’ve done it again. For me, probably biased but, line Emil and a Doyle up against any other top two and I’m confident we come out better 9/10!

Aries
Dan Thompson -25% was an absolute must. The only way we were going to squeeze in the team we have. We’re effectively over the limit from the start.

TTT
No brainer to bring Dan back with the -25% deduction. I suspect the whole team will be announced this week as they must have signed off on the points limit already? I highly doubt they'll be taking the planned trip to Spain this year with current events happening.

Doyle King Ellis Brennan Emil Dan Jenkins 3 signed and done so far! Be interesting who is signed for the engine room alongside Brennan. 2 out of King, Rew or Ellis aint bad

Can be replaced by any other rider, not just another RS if form dips Fair points, I never considered that. However still can't see any of that happening, can only see Dan going onwards & upwards next season. Not that I think he'll struggle, but if he does Ipswich don't seem to drop riders too often. No brainer on the 25% off and for me, if he maintains his 'proper' average then he'll have a had a great season. Don't expect a massive jump but a more consistent year from him is probably about right for his development at this stage. Looking back at his SGP2 showing, he was a little too conservative in the bends and was getting swallowed up. Maybe somewhere like Glasgow/Scunthorpe in the Championship will help him with that side of his riding or hopefully he'll get an u24 spot in Poland. Odd that he hasn't yet considering some that are already over there.

He was only at rising star for April & September this season and held his own so don't see a problem.

Gavan
With Brennan at number 3 only leaves King Rew and Ellis to fill the 2 and 4 spots …. Preferably Rew and Ellis for me But for all the King haters I’m sure Danny riding at 2 or 4 would get 6 or 7 most home meetings and that’s more than enough People seem to forget Danny rode as a leader at 3 or 5 all season and was struggling with a bad injury yet averaged more than Ellis who rode at 2 or 4….. that’s nothing against Ellis by the way just speaking the facts

Arch Stanton
I genuinely don’t mind either. There’s a fag paper between them IMO so makes very little difference. Don’t see that position as vital as the others. Doyle and Emil are vital up top, Dan and JJ are vital as a reserve pairing, Brennan is vital as support for the top two. The other position in the engine room is probably the least vital in the whole team. Ellis summed up this year when interviewed during a live meeting, the top two score so many points, that it made the job’s easy for the others in the team. cowboy cookie returns?
A reserve pairing & the return of Emil is great news I was always hopeful he would be back but nervous that he wouldn’t be. Doyle appears nailed on & hopefully Rew will return too. Now the King or Ellis debate. I’m definitely in the retain Ellis release King camp. I know that’s not popular with a lot however my reasoning is as follows. If King returns than that would certainly see him also retain the captains arm band & for me I don’t think he is skipper material. King can’t team ride for toffee & doesn’t support his team mates on track. The difference in bonus points scored last season between King & Ellis illustrates that. king is only going one way now & that decline will continue. Far to many times over the last couple of seasons King has been on the wrong end of heat advantages & losing out to riders he should be beating at home. Also throwing away points by riding the wrong lines & getting into trouble Ellis gives a little more in terms of team riding & does still have some improvement left in him. Ellis is the side would also see Doyle as captain & that can only be a good thing. My thoughts
