Dan Thompson -25% was an absolute must. The only way we were going to squeeze in the team we have. We’re effectively over the limit from the start.

No brainer to bring Dan back with the -25% deduction.

I suspect the whole team will be announced this week as they must have signed off on the points limit already? I highly doubt they'll be taking the planned trip to Spain this year with current events happening.

Fair points, I never considered that. However still can't see any of that happening, can only see Dan going onwards & upwards next season. Not that I think he'll struggle, but if he does Ipswich don't seem to drop riders too often.

No brainer on the 25% off and for me, if he maintains his 'proper' average then he'll have a had a great season. Don't expect a massive jump but a more consistent year from him is probably about right for his development at this stage. 

Looking back at his SGP2 showing, he was a little too conservative in the bends and was getting swallowed up. Maybe somewhere like Glasgow/Scunthorpe in the Championship will help him with that side of his riding or hopefully he'll get an u24 spot in Poland. Odd that he hasn't yet considering some that are already over there.

He was only at rising star for April & September this season and held his own so don't see a problem.
