That first sentence is the most ridiculous thing I've read on here in ages. By all means you can suggest Rowe is stronger / more promising but a "million miles ahead" come on, be serious.

As for why they are even being compared?  Well they've both progressed out of the RS berth at the same time, so why wouldn't you compare them?

It is also worth noting that it has taken Thompson two years less to do this so the case is far from closed.

They both had good seasons, they both showed plenty of promise, and I hope they both have successful careers ahead of them.

You have to look at the wider picture though. Rowe is getting work on the continent and doing ok. The be all & end all is NOT what's happening in the Premiership &/or Championship.

British Speedway is no longer the yard stick.

Right now, Rowe is way in front, but I did say he's 2 years older so comparing the 2 anyway is absolutely ridiculous. Thompson could be a heatleader, in the GPs & smashing the Ekstraliga in 2 years. Or go severely backward.

Comparing youth with 2-3 year age gap / experience is nothing short of ridiculous.

So is saying Rowe is currently “way in front” based on the fact he gets rides in Poland. That in itself isn’t a yardstick to compare them which is what you’re doing.  The only fair comparison is a comparison in which they compete in the same league. That is the ONLY way to compare where they’re currently at.

Look, I know it’s absolutely desperate being a Lynn fan these days but trying desperately to claim some kind of small victory by claiming a rising star that rode for you this year  (one that has already buggered off btw) is in a different stratosphere as a rival Rising star when it blatantly isn’t the case, is bizarre in the extreme.

Very very bitter mate

This has to be the funniest reply on this forum. You do realise Screamer was fishing for bites and Rowe didn’t actually turn down Ipswich? And why on earth Would Ipswich fans be bitter about Kings Lynn? LOL.

I wasn't doing the comparing, I said it's ridiculous too, how many more times 🙄

Getting rides on the continent does make any rider 'way ahead', especially Poland.

Comparing the 2 in the same league is also impossible. Thompson was at 2 because the No6 was crap. Rowe was at No6 because King's Lynn was built with strength in depth. Thompson's home track is a trick track which is tough for even away heatleaders. Rowe's home track is super grippy (even with no shale) which is tough for mid to lower order rider's. The parameters for both to be compared are all over the place.

But like I said also, in 2 years time Thompson could be 'way ahead'. I have no problem with who rides for who, I just hope we have some more Dan Bewley’s & Robert Lambert’s coming through.

Looks like Lyon is trying to recreate the Dad's Army format that won the league for Panthers without the undoubted World class that team had in their prime, Iversen aside   If Cook is #1 Stars have no chance.

Wasn't Rowe Stars RS last year, averaged 5+ so would be available on a reduced average (3.50?) if retained.. but would be on 5+ for every other team?  And Stars aren't using him? Ridiculous.

I think he will be on a reduced average whoever he signs for. It was probably taken out of Kings Lynn hands in terms of what other clubs were willing to pay as to why he won’t be appearing in the Kings Lynn side

Pretty sure that Rowe is owned by the BSPL as would have been a Swindon asset before their license put on ice, if that’s the case King’s Lynn have no first choice or anything with him for 2025 with him no longer a RS, so more likely a case of he’ll go where he wants to ride/offers him best contract.  He’d make a good number 6 somewhere, just think he’ll struggle at number 2 where he’s expected to be in Sheffield line up

Anders confirmed on the Raw Speedway podcast that he'd signed both of his Premiership and Championship contracts 2 months ago!!

I'm pretty happy with that. Nice to get the team done early, and a team that should be together all season, barring injury.
