Since when do you because a weather man ?  Getting upset about something that is unlikely to happen .

i mean, all events are cancelled in wroclaw this weekend because of the weather, the news outlets keep banging on about the worst weather of rain about to hit the city in a very long time, so there is every chance it could happen, and if it is rained off then its 100% scheduled for thursday

Surely the fixtures were 1v4 this week and 2v3 next week, so the only variance would have been Leicester and Sheffield racing the opposite weeks ? Ipswich and Belle Vue would still have been riding on the same dates as they are now.

no, originally it was 2nd v 3rd for this week and 1st v 4th following week

Any evidence to confirm this ? It was 1st v 4th first last year.

The only things I saw stated that these dated were reserved for playoffs, no mention of which were which. Yet more conspiracy theories about the playoffs being 'fixed' with no evidence to back it up.

Personally, I'm just looking forward to enjoying the racing. Enough stress in life without getting too wound up about this. It's only a gameshow. 😉

Potentially could be a classic semi final also could be a disgrace if riders are missing for Poland.

prediction Sheffield to go through by 8 points overall

Sheffield to go through with 50% of this tie being a classic.

The amount of times I’ve looked at the forecast whilst in England and then when I land in Poland it’s blazing hot is crazy, I wouldn’t believe the weather forecast looking from England. Although today is the first day is has dropped below 28 in about a month!

Where did you see it is planned to run Thursday? Thursday is an agreed priority day for Britain so they don’t run on Thursdays in Poland for Ekstraliga. All season if a Sunday is cancelled it’s pushed to Monday or Tuesday. So if any, the Monday fixture will be hit harder here. Also they have agreed play off date for Friday 20th so doubt they would ride the Thursday before as unlike other leagues they have training days with the whole team.

Czestohowa rearranged their rained off match against Zielona Gora on a Thursday last month.

Aces to win by 6 to 8 at NSS.

Tigers to win by 12 to 14 at the motocross track :).

If Bewley misses the second leg then it will a 20+ win for the Tigers.  This would be another nail in the coffin of British speedway, Riders missing with injury is an unfortunate part of the sport, but a top GP rider missing the a play off semi final due to a rainoff in Poland being rearranged would be a disaster.

it wont happen but the ACU/SCB can i think refuse him permission to start in poland

Imagine if they did Bewley would be in breach of his Wrocław contract and have to pay back signing on fee as a minimum, that would be the end of him riding in UK as that will be ridiculous money to pay back and more than likely end any sort of future agreements with PZM/Ekstraliga and that’ll damage UK more than Poland

thursday is polands day, we gave it them so we can bring in better riders to the country, so if poland race thursday they have priority

Where is this stated though? In the speedway 2024 calendar Poland doesn't have Thursdays and Britain is still agreed priority dates. Play off agreed priority dates  2024 are only Friday /  or Sunday for Poland. FIM has Saturdays. These are the only days in all of the leagues that are agreed priority dates. The others are simply priority dates and not ‘agreed’. In theory, Britain can pull rank over Poland riders in the plays off on a Thursday (but only Thursdays). Poland wouldn’t officially be able to do anything about it. Now if Britain bow down to Poland that’s another story altogether.

Phil Morris gave up Thursdays as a way of getting Polish top tier riders over here after negotiations took place with the Polish top tier organisers..

Therefore. The UK no longer has priority..

And Polish rearranged meetings "pull rank" on any UK fixtures, either planned or rearranged .

Hence, if Wroclaw have to rearrange on a Thursday then, that meeting is now the priority meeting for league speedway under the agreement made with the major nations..

Nothing the UK can do about it...

Well we can thank Phil Morris for it who intervened

What about all of the marketing and fans being able to make arrangements though? 'k'em I guess! I hope their trumpets and whistles arrive in time :D

Yes they can and hence why Wroclaw aren’t riding Thursday now and never were. And Friday was always down on the calendar for Ekstraliga play offs, so I guess I was right. I’ll leave it as that.
