Also the evil twin falls into that category too - just got a hunch about him coming back. Worrall hasn't paid his fine yet and has no intention of doing so from what I've read, so his ban therefore has not even started. Think he's done with speedway.

I also picked up some of the comments from some of the contributors who may have inside information. I came up with this team : Sedgemen 7.92 Castagna 7.11 Thomson 6.53 Nilsson 6.50 Boughan 5.16 Palovaara 5.00 Max James 2.00 Total 40.22 If I have the correct averages it is 0.22 over the limit so I was hoping Nilsson may possibly be a bit lower and perhaps Boughan has still to receive the 0.13 reduction as a British rider. This gives us fresh faces and Victor as a reserve. Just a bit of fun and I am probably well off the final team. I'd be horrified if Paco was a heat leader. Might as well dust off a space in the trophy room for the wooden spoon. It would be good to see him back though, just not on that average. Kye and Lasse are of a similar quality but with lower averages and would be better fits.
Diamonds85
I see Erik as more likely to be at Oxford or Edinburgh tbh? Redcar have Charles Wright (8.37) and Danny King (7.88) If they added Erik (8.32) and Jason Edwards (6.19) to make the top 4 they'd only have 9.24 for the final 3 riders... I just can't see them going with a tail that long. You'd think most likely Oxford, since they just signed him in the Prem.

But it doesn't matter regardless because that team is way off.

Sedgman, Palovaara and Grahn have signed and i'm sure Max will be back which would leave over 20 points for the last three riders. With an improvement from young Max and a quick transition to British speedway for Mr Grahn this could end up looking a really good team but i still think those 20 points could be allocated better than on a Paco/Thomson combo. This line-up for example: 1 [True number 1] <8.81/8.23 2 Palovaara 5.00 3 Thomson/Paco 6.53/7.11 4 Grahn 5.00 5 Sedgman 7.92 6 Lasse 4.74 7 James 2.00 31.19/31.77 [8.81/8.23] Edited Thursday at 12:59 PM by Nickinho Spelling error

If Kyle & Lasse are of a similar ability, why does Paco have such a higher average (than Lasse especially)? I know it makes sense in Speedway terms (with the points limit), but it must sound odd to a non fan if you said "it would be good to have Paco back, just not on that average" then you'd have to explain to them why you'd want Paco back if he performed poorer last season, but as he did much better you don't want him back lol! Think some riders have gained in average due to riding with poorer riders (or riders having a poorer season). He's been riding a lot with Kye and if you look this year Kye has scored over double the bonus points than Paco. Looking at the averages including bonus points Paco is 7.56 and Kye is 7.47 but the GSAs are over half a point apart. Victim of the averages system I feel Edited Thursday at 02:11 PM by MB723

Paco was mostly a sub-six-pointer before this season and his >7 point average last year was due in part to the league being a lot weaker than in many years as well as his stint as a 2nd-stringer for most of the season. There isn't much between Kye, Lasse and Paco and if you are seriously suggesting that Paco is way ahead of those two then you are very wrong indeed. Lasse was unlucky last year with injuries and his position within the team and most fans would agree that his average should have been higher than it was. He's almost 2 and a half points lower than Paco and i would choose him on that basis alone. One is averaging over 7 the other not even 5. So quite a bit of a difference. Paco bring more than just the points he scores for this side.

Noelinho
Paco was the better rider. That said, Lasse's average is slightly suppressed in that he scored a lot of bonus points - particularly at home. Lasse ended with an average of 4.67, but with the bonus points he averages 5.76 last year, so I'd say he's good good value.
