There are a few possible at that average i'm sure. Timo Lahti, Already has a BL average & is much improved in European competition over the last few seasons. Kai Huckenback, May not be the most consistent but can produce big scores. Leon Madsen, Another with a BL average & again improved since his last spell here. As a former GP rider Madsen may be assessed at 8.00, but as he's not a current GP rider not totally sure.

Emil signed in 2023, the assessed averages rules changed for 2024. So it's possible Madsen wouldn't be an 8.00 ave?

Not unless 10.2.2 is rewritten. Otherwise is absolutely certain he will be 8.00 "Any rider who has been a GP rider for two consecutive seasons within the last five" => 8.00.

If they've let him slip through the net also then yike 😬 I'm guessing Andzejs Lebedevs would be an 8/8.50 since he's a GP rider? What about one of the other Latvians? Some of them could do a decentish job at reserve. Whoever it is is going to have an assessed average I'm guessing. When I spoke to Lebedevs after the Riga GP he really didn't seem keen on riding in the UK. Would Thorssell fit? Or has he already signed up for Poland/Sweden and Denmark? What about Basso? Would Tarasenko be interested in the UK again?

Oxford must be a couple of points under the limit but good to see some new riders in this country.

A good signing, but still think the Spires look a little weak overall. Should be competitive at least. Interesting that Jamie Courtney said this in the release: "At the end of October last year we believed that the Spires team was in place however, a couple of unexpected complications meant that I had to go back to the drawing board"

Chris
Shocking line up. What a cock up with team building but when you have Schroeck involved it's no surprise.
szkocjasid
If Gusts was the first signing on a 4.5 average, I'd have said that's a tremendous start to team building. As they had 7.4 points to play with doesn't feel so great a signing imo.
hagonshocker
Hmmm, that side really needs Maciej to step up as a proper number one especially with PK not the rider he was. Gusts at reserve? His 24 PGE stars show a lot of last places but I guess should be a bit easier at reserve although tracks will be new to him. Riss needs to get his finger out
NickB
Potentially a good signing I think, not an Oxford fan but looking forward to seeing how Gusts develops, some solid performances in SGP2 ovee the last couple of years and an established rider on the continent. Good to see a new face and, hopefully for Oxford, and the league in general, see them devlop into a force in the UK
