Douglas, Cook & Hagon all carrying injuries and yes the pay offs do usually provide a step up in racing, but... I just can't buy into it anymore, what they have done with the rigging of the pay off spots, for me, is the single worst decision that has been made in the so called sport (and there's been a few), it cuts right to the heart of what Speedway is, is it a sport or is it sports entertainment? For me the rigging of the pay offs says to me that it's the latter and I'm sorry, I just ain't interested in that. I know it is easier said than done but you just go along for the great racing, forget the politics and the rigging just go for the racing and support your team. An absolutely 100% mindset to have... However.. You really shouldn't need to have that mindset, as it is almost ludicrous that it is required to follow a "professional' team sport ... And therefore, a "huge ask" to get new people to buy into that "unusual" mindset and become regulars... And also to compound this, even keep "die hards" turning up, as, eventually, even they have a tipping point and then either stop going completely, or start to attend "now and again".. A true "basket case" of an operating model..

Yes that is true, it is noticeable from tv how crowds have dwindled, this can of course be lack of,on track, success and I know a fair amount turn up and dont involve themselves in how the sport is run but if more people stop going then clubs will continue to close.
