Likely they'll need to be looking overseas you'd imagine? There's scope for improvement on Barker and Fredriksen's averages for sure. Bowtell should be able to improve somewhat but even if there's a slow start for him, he drops to reserve and he'll be strong there. Thompson is the enigma, can he improve his 5.63? He's young so he's only going to get better and goes well at Home. Cluff, only time will tell but having watched some of the clips from the SA solo finals, he can gate! Its a shame MPT and Melynchuk doesnt fit by just 0.4 based on those averages above. MPT 7.8 and Melynchuk 6.00 Least the promotion would be taking a chance on a potential exciting new recruit in Melynchuk. However MPT and Newman both fit and would be a steady bet for home meet8ngs at least!
YeOldPitGate
Whats the score with Dillon Ruml was developing into a tidy little rider has he retired ? would be worth a shout in my opinion still young, was improving and could be UK based all season. Injured last April, don't think he's ridden since
torpointfanatic22
Know nothing about the Aussie other than what's been put in here, seems he's more Kelleher than Holder but time will tell on that one. Looks more and more likely that Barker will end up as 2nd heat leader which is a huge problem if the case. He's simply not at that level anymore. Assuming Barker does indeed sign, with 13.76 left, that does present options. We need something decent at number 1, someone who can win races home and away however that would likely mean the Aussie lad starts in the main body. Will be interesting to see where we go. szkocjasid
Someone previously mentioned Nicolai Klindt, but with his high average, think it's the weakest suggested team yet. Nicolai Klindt 9.88 Ben Barker 5.87 Joe Thompson 5.63 Alfie Bowtell 5.07 Mitchell Cluff 5.00 Lasse Fredriksen 4.67 Roynon / Trigger 3.46 / 3.00 Total 39.58 / 39.
Diamonds85
I personally don't think Mitch is very good. Think he'll struggle on a small track too. Hope I'm wrong 😬

But from a Plymouth team point of view, it's not the best.
Diamonds85
“We believe that we have signed one of the best newcomers to UK Speedway in the past few seasons.” 🤣 I admire the optimism... I do like Plymouth and I like Garry... but come on. 2

No, but something along the lines of we're hoping Mitch can come in and achieve his average and try and keep his place in the main body of the team. Which is more realistic, not putting such a hype around him that he's going to be a big disappointment... again (Goret, Turner, Baek) 31 minutes ago, Ghosty said: Good job he is not coming in as an elite league heat leader then! No but he's going to be riding a small track and when I mean he isn't very good I mean at this level!! Not at Premiership level. I'm more than happy to be proven wrong though and I do wish him luck. And I always want to see plymouth do well.

Oh don't get me wrong they need to generate some excitement but given this lad has been racing in Poland's u24s for 3 odd years, is now too old and hasn't been picked up by a senior team (as far as I can see), perhaps tempering expectations may have been a wiser move. That being said he's in the Aussie champs so lets see how he goes against the big boys!
wariersaucer798
Who do you think will be the last 3 signings originally was thinking Stanislav Melnychuk but he can’t ride for us as he rides in Poland on the weekends. Also did not realise that Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen does not ride anymore as he did not do too bad on his last visits to the coliseum Edited Tuesday at 01:53 PM by wariersaucer798

Doners123
Great to mark and the volunteer team widening the back straight track between bends 2 and 3. also agreed a 5 year lease with the land owners so really good news for Plymouth speedway. no matter what anyone says mark deserves huge credit for keeping Plymouth speedway alive and improving on the track. Along with I believe a new 500 club package for hospitality members on bend one.
szkocjasid
Plymouth have advertised their season tickets as: 8 league, 2 BSN, 1 KOC & 4 NL fixtures for £300 (standing) & £330 (seating), early bird prices. Can't say £20 a match sounds a great deal to me, especially as four of them are development league matches. What were the prices of single matches this year? If you say NL are £15 (at a push) that leaves 11 meetings @ £300 = £21.82 a meeting would make me panic what the on the gate prices will be!
