Surely Baek is in the conversation after dropping newman to bring him and start building some assets?

What a truly awful decision that was. Wouldn't be surprised if Newman will have packed up for good!

Don't understand the decision making there, how much is having an asset like Baek worth if he can't reach a 4.00 average. Even if a club finds a future superstar like Ben Basso (don't know of he belongs to Poole or Glasgow) if he leaves to concentrate on Poland, having him as an asset does nothing for a club.

Would rather clubs use Brits first than sign up new "assets"

Surely the skill is to sign up and coming British riders as assets. That way you receive a loan payment over a number of seasons if you cannot fit them into your side. Riders like Lawson, Kerr etc where they ride Champ and Prem must be a nice income stream for some clubs.

Glasgow. Poole and Glasgow traded Lawson and Basso over as assets. Looks like we gained the most out of it so far.

Nobody cares,only clive.

Always great to have a strong number 1.😝

BTW you have to congratulate Plymouth for running a NDL team in 2025. Gladiator fans will be well pleased to be able to watch both their teams of similar strength.😂

1) The conversation rate is as above Prem x 1.5

2) The most recent average is used, so the 2024 Prem average is converted. As soon as a rider rides one match they revert to their Championship rolling ave.

Last year rolling averages were from 2022-2024, if the 3 year rule continues, then next year it'll be 2023-2025 matches that count.

If this is the case, the 2022 Champ matches will be ignored & the rider would get a new average after 8 matches.

I think rolling averages still apply once you have ridden 1 or more meetings on or before the 23rd of the month.

New or re-assessed riders get new averages after 6 meetings( changed in '24 to take in group BSN meetings)

It certainly looked like Newman was sent elsewhere to drop his average so Poole could get him back for 2025 5.37 average and replaced 1 meeting away from going to his actual average of 2.something …

That's not how the averages work, Newman averaged 4.96 from 11 matches, his rolling average consisted of these along with 9 matches from 2023. If he rode one more match, he'd still carry 8 matches from 2023 in his rolling average.

I'm not sure who Plymouth have planned for 2025, but I'd welcome Newman back for another go.

Is it a good idea to have it on Friday 13th!!

I was going to say something similar, but Lewy would probably jump on it - as usual.

Ps. Surprised no Gladiator fans have shared it?!
