Looking around the other declared or strongly rumoured line up's if Bowtell and Joe Thompson (who was presumably much sought after on that average) are 4th and 5th in line up in terms of average, with Barker at no higher than 3rd, then Plymouth would not be the weakest 3-4-5 by any means.

As always for them it's all about getting a couple of bona fide heat leaders.

A fit Covatti would be an excellent No 2.

No surprise to see Alfie and Joe back. Be interesting to see if the plan is to start with Alfie at reserve.

If I've read it right, with reductions they come in on 5.07 & 5.63 respectively. Assuming Barker will be named in due course (believe he'd be 5.87). I make that 16.57, leaving a healthy 23.43 and would be a solid, if not spectacular engine room.

Will be interesting if that is the 3-4-5 as you suggest. Barker can't be anything higher than the 3rd heat leader if Plymouth are to be more competitive this season. 

Not convinced by Covatti on his starting average but let's wait and see.

Zagar is going to be in UK most Mondays for Brummies , can they still ride Plymouth Home matches on a Tuesday?, he's ridden for Trelawny so will know Phillips?.

Not sure what his CL average would be but he could make 5 starts round Plymouth and be almost undeatable round there. Win your home matches that's key?

Would I be wrong in assuming that Ben Barker and Kyle Newman are certainties next year? How about a return for Ben Trigger since he's struggling for a team place, could double up with the National Trophy side? Lasse Fredriksen isn't back at Edinburgh but is hinting at having a Championship place lined up.

Plymouth should only use Ben it his average mean he "just fits" the number 7 slot.

That way it would be good for the Gladiatrors & team Trigger.

I think that team would be worse than last seasons! Covatti isn't a number 1 and Barker is not a number 5.

It'll be very hard to build a stronger team than last season, most teams have to weaken due to the points limit, even Plymouth finishes above 40. Dan T will be impossible to replace imo, but if he wanted to go, what can Plymouth do?

Covatti & Barker aren't a good 1&5, but that's what they ran with last year. Possibly should've given Dan a run at 5 last year, see if Barker can find form as a "second string"? If that was the team for next year, so the same with Covatti (mind you, I expect him to remain with Edinburgh)?

really is a limited number of heat leaders avalible. With this in mind does anyone know the following …..

 

1) what’s the conversion rate in from prem to champ ?

 

2) if someone for example has a 2022 champ average but has a 2024 prem average which takes the lead to build from ?

1. 1.5 times Prem average

2. I believe the Prem average would be used but after enough matches (4?) the previous champ scores would be used to calculate when the averages update (someone can correct me if I'm wrong)
