Although I guess it also depends on who Poole use as 'guests' anyway.

If I was a fan of Poole (retch) or any other second division side there would be at least one rider in every Prem team I'd want to see at my track.
STEVEHOLS54
All still quiet from Ford Towers on who the temporary No.7 will be. Could it be a case of no takers currently for the job. There is still no rush but considering how Matt/Danny love to milk/maximise the media coverage, and knowing how many months they near enough knew they would need temporary cover, would have thought that with riders needing to make sufficient arrangements (even if only for 3 months), something would have been sorted by now. Think the Champ Team finalising is now just down to Plymouth No.7 and our temp signing. You would think that a rider in NDL would love the chance to show case their potential talent for the future. Either that or maybe nobody at this stage in that lower region of the NDL wants to be used as a whipping boy driving around the Country in the higher league for 3 months scoring little to no points. It could be someone is secured already but they are trying to secure them some sponsorship/mechanic etc to make it viable for the rider involved. After all, if his points haul is minimal he will need some income from somewhere to make it worthwhile. TigerIain
Could well be that they are struggling to find a taker for their temp job. If you are a youngster that fancied their chances of scoring above your assessed 2.00 would you risk getting a real average knowing that you are getting dropped regardless, when that might stop you getting a team place elsewhere? If you signed that temp contract and didn't get above 2.00 then that might put you down the pecking order if another team looks for a 2 pointer later in the year. And like you say, if you are a 2nd string/reserve in the NDL, do you really want to finish last 3 times a night for a couple of months and deal with the stick that would come with not being on the pace? Personally don’t think they will have any trouble picking up a Temp reserve.

Not under normal circumstances but this is hardly normal Poole need 2pointer unless they make another change and it's only short term where if they do well there average goes up and it makes it more difficult for another team to fit them in and if he doesn't do well no one will want them anyway so it definitely not good position to put themselves in but does give them more negotiating power for for a better deal it's not rocket science!

I am sure a 2 pointer would want to put himself in the shop window to get another ride elsewhere when Cairns comes in.

If they stay on a 2.00 average & impress, then yes they'll be putting themselves in the shop window. However if they do a Foord & get a 4.00 average, all of a sudden made themselves hard to sign.
