Well Ford really is leaving it to the last minute to announce the team before Christmas, can't wait.

I don't understand why everyone seems so interested in who the temporary number 7 may be. Knowing its going to be one of the weaker 2 pointers, ie one who can't get a full time Championship place elsewhere, is surely sufficient for the time being.

Team isn't  complete till they are named though.

Correct - Plus Danny has known for months he would need a replacement 2 pointer. It was him who originally indicated in interviews the team should be announced by Xmas. By that I assume the full team also starting.

I assume it's because many who may be half decent have held off as long as possible or the likes of Max James who informed him he was not part of their 2025 plans had a late change of mind due to Edinb  not having finalised their originally planned team building.

Maybe it will be someone like Chaz Wirtzfeld (mentioned on here earlier) a local Dorset lad who rode B.Vue 2 in 2024 (maybe also part of 25 squad) and for 2025 Plymouth 2. Would make some sense if he is still local and one of the better one's still not signed in Champ.

Now something along John's line of thinking, offers a more imaginative alternative to a 2pt sacrificial lamb. Not beyond the realms of fantasy that there's a retired rider out there who might quite fancy a three month comeback, with no great pressure to perform at their former level.
