I've a horrible feeling no.

Poole fans are unbelievably fickle when it comes to NDL standard.

Personally myself and all our group would love it.

There has been offers to run an NDL side but BSPL rules it had to be run by the current promoter.

I may be wrong,  but think the Kent eagles are a new team and a new promotion.

Trying to stay out of all the vitriolic posts both ways on here, an honest question, if Poole had started to build the side the Kent eagles are starting to build in the NLT with Abblit, Foord, and Morley, plus the runner up to Cairns in the youth championship this year, would the attendance be reasonable ( pay its way?) Question was asked earlier if any NL teams at least break even, can't think for a minute in its first season this new team/promotion won't achieve that.

I think the difficulty is more in getting fans to come along to the lower level team when teams have two.

If the only option is an NDL team, I think that can work well. It's a harder sell when there's a higher level team competing for tickets.

That said, Oxford have all three tiers covered, so I guess it works for them? Maybe they have a secret the rest of us are missing.

What day of the week are Chargers home meetings?

Where there's a will there's a way would be my guess re Oxford running three teams, the Chargers were getting crowds some CL teams would be envious of. Plenty of fans around the country want weekly, or at worst fortnightly home meetings, at Oxford they get it. Plus Coventry, Reading and Swindon aren't too far away so their fans will travel occasionally to get their fix.

It is accepted that just about every NDL meeting is to be staged at a weekend, to avoid problems with younger riders taking time off school (which is illegal) and indeed, the older guys having to beg time off work.

Exactly his point though. Poole prob not wanting to pay two lots of rent each week.

Plus the additional problem of getting stadium staff in 'cos they all have other all-year-round weekend jobs in hospitality and security etc!!

So are we going to get our final rider announced before Xmas ?.

I mean starting line up which includes the temporary 2 pointer rider until 30th June.

Danny Ford's last comment was not totally clear having earlier said the team expected to be announced before Xmas.

His last comment was "Ford has confirmed that there will be a temporary signing to cover at number seven and he hopes to be in a position to confirm who that will be in the near future".

Ford's are running a "nice little earner" down at Wimborne road on Wednesday nights with maestro
Muddleditch as TM in the 2nd division. Why risk moving up, running another team in the 3rd division, either or both??

As for attracting new riders, Ford's owe a great deal to Middledutch and his workshops and accommodation at Baillie House. Many a young Australian has lodged there on arrival from down under. I am sure Billy Cains will be made very welcome and given a great deal of advice.
