Probably a case of they are not prepared to lose money rather than they can't be bothered. Does anyone break even in the NDL?

if no one breaks even why does anyone do it? got to look at the bigger picture for the good of the sport but the blinkers back on in Poole I see.

Every club should want success. William made his choice on many factors and advised by many people I would imagine.

Sure every club does want success but certain clubs have.more financial clout and ultimately a rider will go to a club paying the most. Doesn't guarantee success but it certainly helps. The management need to have sound judgement when it comes to team building, then its down to the riders producing and teams having a generally injury free season.

It isnt just about money,  I think there are many reasons why a rider rides for a certain club.

Really why would you run meetings to lose money.Worky are finding  out the bubble has burst to certain extent.( although the racing is top notch).

If any team have the support base to run an NDL team it is Poole. I feel it would be self financing. In addition the Poole fans would have more meetings to enjoy.

Worky do not have the support levels that the Pirates enjoy, I wish they did. Not sure which bubble you feel has burst. Worky were intending on running NDL last season but were asked to join the Championship. Most riders had already signed for clubs. This put them at the mercy of rider demands to a certain extent because of limited supply.

Yeah but I would argue a decent club offering more than another decent club will get the rider most of the time.

Running a NDL has never worked at Poole, maybe other clubs can make money from it

Does it have to make money or just be self financing ?. Oxford are currently running 3 teams, I hope they can continue to do so.

I know Worky were put in an awkward situation last season which didn’t help their cause, did the crowd levels not drop a bit towards the end of the season though .The entertainment was good.Maybe running on a Sat didn’t help

IMO the bubble went "pop", for most, many years ago.

As I've said previously, with the possible exception of Birmingham who have their own stadium restrictions, all clubs who have entered the 2 NDL competitions in 2025 either own or have full access to their stadia and will likely run those teams at the weekend when its easier for NDL riders to travel!!

Crowds did drop at the end of the season, I think the injuries and the pretty much no chance playoff meetings against Poole played there part in this.

Doesn't seem like there are any Poole fans who would like to see a Pirates NDL or NDT team then ? .

I'm not sure Worky will be running a team in the NDT competition in 2025, could be something to do with the opposition all being way down south. Would be more sensible imo if fixtures were regional.

The Ford's have said in the press it has to. They said they are not bailing the club out again if it runs at a loss.
