I can see by the end of the season

1. Richard Lawson 9.00-9.50

2. Tobias Thomsen 4.75-5.25

3. Zach Cook 6.75-7.25

4. Anders Rowe 6.75-7.25

5. Lewis Kerr 7.25-7.75

6. Paul Starke 3.75-4.25

7. William Cairns 4.50-5.00

Fair assessment? Of course you Poole fans will know these riders better than me.

I'd say it's fair. Might put Anders up to 7.5 instead of 7.25 though.

They seem to have a particularly strong team next season.

They easily have the best top 3, I think Jason Edwards is really going to have a big year next year too... Their top 4 is incredible. Jake Mulford should be solid enough at number 2, especially at home. I like their reserves, but they are just as likely to go missing away from home, particularly again teams with stronger reserves. I rate Tom Spencer quite a bit, he's never going to be world champion but he's a very solid rider and I think he'll surprise a few, always gives 110%.

Anyway back to Poole.

I'd be delighted to see Anders pushing mid 7s and I would love to be proven wrong and see him hit 8 too. I just wish he'd stop wearing his hats like a condom...

I'd be more worried if he wore his condoms like a hat 😝

@PTW completely agree.

@SharpenRake I cannot see any 2.00 rider scoring better than Starke, so think whoever signs will be the one dropped for Cairns (if he's at Poole)

All this speculation about Young Cairns who is an outstanding prospect I agree , but as we all know speedway riders have crashes and injuries .I would hate for the lads sake he doesn’t but to try and build a side around a lads 16th birthday date could  be a huge gamble if injuries hit the Poole side .Speedway is won on the track and I wish all riders in the 3 leagues have an injury free season

Cairns confirmed on an 18 month deal

Worst kept secret in Speedway William going to Poole, must be very exciting for the Poole fans to have secured such a precocious young talent. Do find it a bit contrived that a club that appears to do very little to develop young speedway talent professes that William feels Poole is the best place for him to develop and improve with a focus on providing him with the support , guidance, and environment he needs to thrive without undue pressure. Wonder how Max Perry views this.

I doubt Max Perry had Greg Hancock mentoring him!!

Don't really know why the concern about the number 7, it does not really matter who it is.

It matters a little, if Poole want to win the treble again, they'll have to do well in the BSN & KOC before Cairns arrives, plus remain in top 4 contention in the league.

They won't find it as easy as last year, but still expect them to be near the top, once Cairns signs, big favourites.

I guess that's one reason why Poole don't bother with the NDL, let others train up riders & can still pick up the best prospects.

I would think Poole is the most "pressure club" to join, the club & fans expect to win every season & riders know they could be dropped if they don't perform, even if the team is doing well.

If you don't want any pressure go to Berwick, Edinburgh or Plymouth, they're used to losing lol!
