But he can sign a "Letter of Intent" and it depends how strongly that is worded as to if it is guaranteed.

If I remember correctly I saw a Youtube interview with Cairns late last Summer while staying at his mentor Greg Hancock's place in Sweden, that he actually mentioned he had agreed a deal with a Champ side in 2025 when he turns 16.

I think it may have been that interview when all the Cairns joining Poole rumours/comments started to leak out.

Both Father and Son are ambitious. They have spent thousands of pounds and completed as many miles trekking across the UK and Europe to get the boy where he is today. Belle Vue was chosen for NL for the racing circuit and for CL they will be looking at where is the best possibility of silverware. Track record says thats the Pirates so a fairly easy assumption to make.

I have to say that Paul Starke  did disappoint me. However I seem to recall that  when he tried big blasts coming out of the 2nd bend he was inadvertently blocked by his team mate, lost momentum and thereafter couldn't make much of an impact in the race. His machinery/chains also let him down. When he did gate he was fine and with Poole being a gate and go track he should do OK against the less experienced reserves in opposition teams.

Starke isn't the rider he was a few years back... but he should do a solid job at reserve at Poole all season. He's not going to catch Tobias in terms of average.

I'm guessing Starke was option B and they were trying to get a certain Aussie in on a 4.00 but he would have been a 5.00, hence the 'numbers game' excuse with Vinnie who as it turns out would have fit.

That championship team was Workington. Before Poole came in, disregarded anything that had been agreed, and blew Workington out of the water with the money. Disgraceful.

Hardly Poole’s fault if that was the case. Cairns could have stayed if he really wanted too.Thats Sport.

So Cairns would rather go to Poole, doubt it was anything to do with money.
