Poole 2025

Recommended Posts

Looks like we’re guna be nearly a point under the limit very odd for Poole not seem that many times, dissspointed that Vinnie isn’t in the team tbh on the other hand Starke is proven in this league and has a bargain average of under 3.50 but will be gone after next season where as could of kept vinnie and nurtured him into a decent rider like the Cook brothers, think the management haven’t looked further ahead than just a season.

looking at options I would say Max James is an option for last spot looked ok at Poole on one of the occasions he was down, would be the choice for me but  if it’s not him I wouldn’t really know at all.

No doubt Starke will up his average significantly. But very disappointed to sign him over Vinnie Foord.

Why did Danny say Vinnie wasn’t retained due to numbers game?

Because he lies

I think Starke would be a great signing if they had 3.5 available, but with over 4 available I'd have stuck with Foord.

Apart from sticking with Foord for the future, he could be the better rider this season.

If the averages fitted, I would've had them both.

You can't help but love the backtracking from some Poole fans on here.

I took pelters on here last year - under a different account - when I suggested Starke on a <4.00 average would be a good signing, and a better option than Newman.

Fast forward 12 months, where he's somehow got worse and he's now an inspired signing who will add 2 points to his average. Brilliant.

Literally only one person has said that!

Terrible signing, I said earlier numbers game is a smokescreen, I think they have made a real mess of this years team, Starke is well past his best, ridiculous to think he is a 5 pointer on a 3 point average. Vinnie is improving and getting better, way better than Starke.

Wow,well done foreverblue a Poole fan that's not brainwashed.

Starke came in for the Comets and did a decent job, it wasn't hard to improve on what we had from reserve all year though.

At times he beat who he should beat but often looked slow.

This YouTube clip probably sums it up it you haven't seen it, and how much more determined Foord is

This team wont win the league so changes will be made if and when Cairns comes in. Two issues are Kerr and Starke.

thing is poole usually get the best out of riders and have a home track which riders always score heavily on when they sign

so despite your concerns i expect both of those riders will be fine once they settle in

cairns is the one likely to make the difference once he is old enough

he will set poole and glasgow apart in the end

Is that because they changed limit from 38.00-40.00 and it caught us out as ideally I would of had Foord all day long,Starke isn’t a bad signing for a season of improvement can’t really go wrong  should be hitting 4.50-5.00 meaning him thomsen at reserve do a decent reserve all season, but after that he won’t be at Poole in 2026 where as Vinnie it could of been more long term.

Maybe he should be hitting 5 but dont think he is capable anymore. He will have to be at least a 5 to keep his place, we know when Cairns comes in changes will be made and he could be the one to drop out.
