Oxford fans say he been doing it for a while. Interesting to see if he does it next season. Yes he didn't do too well at Oxford in the play offs either

One of the best meeting I ever saw on TV was the speedway World Cup at Poole but now the racing is garbage That is more to do with the quality of rider. Maybe the riders would prefer it if we made it bumpy again!!

That is what is important... Win at home each week and it keeps them coming.. Seems strange that so many moan about them.. 2

Seem to recall Poole lost one meeting at home as well and Oxford had won by heat 14. More importantly saw more passing in one meeting than the whole season at Poole

Poole = zero entertainment yet their fans seem happy. Don't think it has anything to do with the quality of riders, seen plenty of rubbish meetings in the Premiership. Even in SGP sometimes it ain't good. Compare Poole v Glasgow and Glasgow v Poole championship 2024 same riders but far better racing at Glasgow.

That will be why Leicester sacked their manager when they weren't in a relegation place. No because the fans didn't like the style of play under Cooper compared to Maresca. Similarly West Ham got rid of Moyes and now fans are unhappy with Lopetegui. People are paying good money and want to be entertained

Instead, he will be taken on a rollercoaster of victories and defeats, watching loads of goals, and seeing his team fail to reach the Champions League.. And will be very, very disappointed come May.. As will all the Spurs fans.. Not many will be looking back and saying "wasn't that four three defeat by Chelsea at home a great game?" at the end of the season.. In sport, winning is everything, otherwise, no point in actually doing it... Personally for me, Speedway, (in the UK), given its lack of any major financial gain by winning, almost non existent MSM publicity, and its ludicrous ad hoc team structures, is something I watch as "sports entertainment" rather than something I consider a "bona fide" sporting competition... However, plenty still feel it is "proper competition", and good luck to them, as they are still supporting the sport, and it needs as many as it can find to keep doing so.. Poole know "winning" is key to making a profit, so, quite rightly, they set up their operating model to always be in the mix to win... Perfect sense...

Tottenham play a very entertaining style but the manager will be sacked if they keep losing.

STEVEHOLS54
Back on to Poole 25 team topic. Mentioned him before, but with exception of Edind/Plymouth (plus Poole) finalised, what chance of signing Max James as the temp cover for Cairns until July. Only mention him as he just signed again for Leicester NDL as Captain for 2025. Not bad for a youngster who is not 18 until 5th July. Thought he would already have been signed for Champ as showed decent talent from what I have seen in 2024. Seems able to mix it and although still a raw talent could hold his own against plenty of the other reserves in the League. Just a thought in the final throws of guess the team for 2025 which should be announced during next 10/14 days.

STEVEHOLS54
Also just read on Max James FB page that on 2nd Dec he posted that Edinburgh advised him he was not part of their Team plans for 2025. That leaves only Plym or Poole. Would be a great way to showcase his ability until end June if he signed for Poole.

I still think not getting Vinnie back is a massive mistake, if we get Harrison Ryan or similar how can anyone be sure he will turn out better than Vinnie. Numbers game is a smokescreen.
