Flint essentially operated as our second heat leader for the majority of last season. This coming season, he’ll start as our fourth rider and even at that, he could easily become our fifth rider… and still have had a good season. I honestly fear for other sides next season. Glasgow have put together one hell of a side. Glasgow all English side ..but a bit weak at reserve's
Jaizer
2 hours ago, Steve Shovlar said: Seriously? I have just had a look and would put it at decent to good. Nothing more than that. Glasgow Tigers 1 - Chris Harris (9.07) 2 - Ashton Boughen (5.03) 3 - Dan Thompson (7.36) 4 - Leon Flint (6.68) 5 - Kyle Howarth (7.27) 6 - Freddy Hodder (2.00) 7 - Max Perry (2.00) Total Average: 39.41 Harris is solid but now getting to an age where it’s difficult to maintain. Blistering races and defending in third. Boughen is a rocket in front and a slug at the back. Think he has potential but needs to get over some issues. Offered big money to ride for Glasgow. Dan Thompson a very good signing I would have liked to have seen him at Poole. Heard on Thursday night the money he is getting at Glasgow is far, far beyond what any other club could and would offer. Leon Flint hasn’t improved as expected. Seems to have stagnated in the last couple of seasons. Might be a good rider in there somewhere though. Kyle Howarth is a decent third heat leader. Fast gater. Can go AWOL away from his home track and no improvement in his average. Hodder and Perry are weak reserves. Will pick up the occasional win or second place. I think Glasgow will make the playoffs this year. I am guessing they are going to try to be invincible at home with big wins to get aggregate wins. Improvements in Boughen and Thompson. The others to maintain their averages. Nothing to fear for Poole. Just competition. You and Bobby always good for a laugh with your "we know what money they're on" chat. In fairness only 1 fan getting carried away. As most of the Glasgow thread will say, happy with the side, better than last season but an obvious potential weakness. Howarth I'd think only 1 I'd disagree with, without the burden of number 1 expect to see bit of improvement. As with Leicester when was a strong top 3 his best season of recent times Edited December 7 by Jaizer .
Hamster00
Certain fans need to calm down with the argument about who’s embarrassment of riches is better 😂😂 They’ll both make the play offs barring a disaster and then we’ll see which one, if either, lifts the trophy. I don’t think they’ll be that bothered by the 2 pointer they’re getting in as long as they get play offs. Swap for Cairns by then and they could easily win this league again. So why Starke when we could have had Foord, numbers game we were told.

No idea mate, have to see what happens. Certainly is a strange decision to not have Vinnie back. Real potential there

OK for 2026! First meeting Good Friday unless ko cup meeting(s) required before!! Draft fixture list is with promoters for approval/adjustments. Final 2 riders confirmed before Christmas. PTW
Could well be a 4.00 rider and 2.00and the 4.00 rider having plenty of potential, still disappointed Vinnie isn’t back.

If it it's Starke then the Fords have dropped a b.llock, it's got to be somebody else surely, my money is still on a continental/aussie. The confirmation of Anders is good, but it's the reserves that's crucial especially considering my (and others) comments about the Glasgow team. PTW
By the looks of it,trigger not in the team so I’m assuming Poole have gone for the 4.00&2.00 route and that 4.00 rider has more potential than Vinnie.

Well I know nothing about him, but from the still photos he looks to have a riding style similar to Ben Cook, low down below the handle bars, great to watch and can be very effective. On the down side also pics of him giving the air fence a hard time.

When you say ok for 2026, do you mean the air fence, or we are running in 2026
