Is everyone okay? Sorry if our world class line-up announcement in the form of a Hollywood picture has ruined your weekend.

Nice to know you like to check the treble winning pirates forums regularly 😆

you have a great 1-5 but 2 reserves who were well out of their depth last year. You will need 1 of them to pick up a handful of points otherwise it doesn’t matter who the top 5 are.

Surely it's simply a matter of balance, Glasgow have riders I would have liked to see to see riding for Poole 25 but.....but they also have a big hole come heat 2. So in answer to your question, sure I'm fine, are you really as well as you make out?

We are fine thanks, not at all disheartened by the Glasgow team, time will tell if having a very top heavy team is the way to go, personally think a more balanced team is better.

Glasgow's heat leaders = 23.70

Poole's heat leaders = 23.16

Not that much difference 🥴

Has he not sure how you work that out, our heat leaders have averages close to yours and our reserves are much better.

Perhaps he thinks Cairns is going to Glasgow

I certainly think potentially Rowe will be better than Flint next season.

Wouldn’t disagree Rowe has really improved as shown when he joined us , but you can never tell for sure maybe something will just click with Leon.

He certainly improved especially at home towards the end off the season.

I’d be surprised if he wasn’t. Where has that observation come from?

Flint essentially operated as our second heat leader for the majority of last season. This coming season, he’ll start as our fourth rider and even at that, he could easily become our fifth rider… and still have had a good season.

I honestly fear for other sides next season. Glasgow have put together one hell of a side.

Seriously? I have just had a look and would put it at decent to good. Nothing more than that.

Glasgow Tigers
1 - Chris Harris (9.07)
2 - Ashton Boughen (5.03)
3 - Dan Thompson (7.36)
4 - Leon Flint (6.68)
5 - Kyle Howarth (7.27)
6 - Freddy Hodder (2.00)
7 - Max Perry (2.00)
Total Average: 39.41

Harris is solid but now getting to an age where it’s difficult to maintain. Blistering races and defending in third.

Boughen is a rocket in front and a slug at the back. Think he has potential but needs to get over some issues. Offered big money to ride for Glasgow.

Dan Thompson a very good signing I would have liked to have seen him at Poole. Heard on Thursday night the money he is getting at Glasgow is far, far beyond what any other club could and would offer.

Leon Flint hasn’t improved as expected. Seems to have stagnated in the last couple of seasons. Might be a good rider in there somewhere though.

Kyle Howarth is a decent third heat leader. Fast gater. Can go AWOL away from his home track and no improvement in his average.

Hodder and Perry are weak reserves. Will pick up the occasional win or second place.

I think Glasgow will make the playoffs this year. I am guessing they are going to try to be invincible at home with big wins to get aggregate wins. Improvements in Boughen and Thompson. The others to maintain their averages.

Nothing to fear for Poole. Just competition.

When a fan of the league champions feels the need to dissect your line-up, one by one and in detail, in his own team’s topic, then you know you’ve got them on toast.

When a fan of another team puts post after post on the league champions thread you know he is trying to convince himself his team has a chance.

Glasgows lineup is decent but not much more. Howling gaping cavern at reserve, plus Flint not done much. If one of the top 5 have an off night there’s no scoring reserve to bring in. Teams with two weak reserves don’t win much.

Also Howarth was poor last season so they expect him to be better next season but will he?

Seemed to improve when he got into the SGP2 also.

Why are you hijacking our thread in the first place? Scared already lol.
