Why does column 6 give riders a 3.50 average, when the lowest average for foreigners is 4.00?

It's  not changed to a minimum 3.50 has it?

There is a paragraph on the next page that states: Any other rider (meaning non-british) with an established average, cannot drop below 4.00 in the Premiership or Championship leagues at any time during the season.

I'm going to assume that their average won't be able to drop until they are over 4.00 but who knows really.

While those of us interested in who may fill  the 4.32 left after the 6 riders we anticipate signing (excl the 2 pointer to fill Cairns slot until end June).

I have come across this interesting news on on POL site Sports Fakty, a  16 yer old young Aussie who last weekend won a Western Australia comp beating the likes of Killeen & Hook and on same site earlier articles about him winning other comps last couple of months.

Already signed for Falubaz on a 2 year deal and is a protege on Woffinden - Was trialed in 4 U24 matches last season.

As he only rode 4 meeting (scores were impressive)) could he sneak into the Champ on a normal Aussie 4 point GSA.

I thought (maybe) it was 6 meetings to qualify as a 5 pointer. I could be wrong.

For those interested site is below:

https://sportowefakty.wp.pl/zuzel/1151049/zuzel-falubaz-oglosil-kolejny-kontrakt-to-dwuletnia-umowa-z-zawodnikiem-u24

How do you get 4.32 for the final rider?

I read on the Glasgow thread that the Polish U24 league seems under threat due to financial issues, which could make the UK Championship a more attractive proposition. Are there any likely/possibilities from that league for Poole to lure in?

For what it’s worth, recent posts on Facebook in the past couple of days reveal that Ablitt and Trigger are yet to find Championship places in 2025.

Think it will run this year but 2025 will be the last of it from what I’ve heard.

Was mentioned at the Sheffield STAARS meeting on Thursday that they would have preference over Anders Rowe when racing Poole in the KO Cup, obviously confirms his Championship team before it’s announced by them 🙈

Thats good news, I think Anders Rowe has alot of potential.

What about the rumoured Paul Starke?(3.36).

With 4.32 left if the six are as expected, would seem risky to leave nearly a whole point (0.96) unused.

Saw on Speedway GB today in Scunthorpe interview that Howarth left as wanted a track closer to home. Would that not narrow it to OXF/Poole/Plymouth. Only mention it as saw his name on Poole 2025 Forum mentioned a few times. However that would only take us 0.49 more if him instead of Kerr so 4.81 which still below 5 for one of these other Cont/Scand young riders.

just a thought but Mulford (rumored on the Forum to be going to Redcar) is 4.27 which fits.

Only logic of Starke for me would be 1) They feel need for more experience with a 2 pointer at reserve and likely to take more then normal 4 rides 2) Has proved at Poole he can and most likely will score more than 4 points a per meeting. Last season is evidence of that 3) Maybe the Fords are building to a tight budget. Especially with the uncertainty of whether  they will even be racing after 2025 with the stadium uncertainty.

Would still like to see the young Aussie Mcdiarmid as I see another Zischke in him if he came to UK. You have to be a good rider to see what he did in only 4 meetings in the POL U24 to see the potential. Still only 16 until next March.

If it was Howarth instead of Kerr. With 4.81 left maybe that leaves a door open for Hagon to return on a 4.73?

I would welcome Sam back with open arms. Yes he tailed off hugely last year but so much potential in him and started last year on fire. He’s also in Australia over winter which will help him no doubt

You would have thought Trigger would at least be offered a team place at Plymouth.

Who is the 6 then? As no one has said who is starting at 7 in April. Can you fit Starke and Trigger at reserve?
