Have to ask the question why aren't we the main supporters of the sport, given a bit more respect about the way it's run, it feels to me like the promoters/owners treat us with a fair amount of contempt, to my mind all the matters of the AGM should be in the public domain and scheduled, with the outcomes publicised on a set date. They publish it as soon as the AGM is finished? I get what you mean about all the matters discussed should be in the public domain. But I’d feel sorry for the person who got the job of typing up the minutes from them lot.

At least that is a start But if Ipswich & Glasgow have completed their teams. Does that mean everything has been decided before listening to the fans voice reps?

Bitza
AGM started today and runs through to Thursday apparently. Sorry if my previous post was a bit of a rant, but I just feel that not involving the fans in decision making is a missed opportunity to promote and grow the sport. After all we all have a vested interest in the AGM decisions, not just the owners & promoters.
Paul Johnson
I am not sure if day one is summarising up this season, bit like an audit?, confirming teams coming to the tapes the following season etc then day 2 will be when ideas will be suggested and voted on, To be honest they can not be expected to tweet etc after every confirmed desicion they would be there all day..."hang on i have not finished typing yet and posted on every platform"

Come on everyone knows the Promoters and ,Team managers already have 90 % of there sides completed before the end of this season . You don’t expect all the foreign riders not to have deals in place for 2025 before the end of this season ,I’ve personally known Scunthorpe’s septet since the last meeting of the season in September . On discussion at this meeting will predominately about fixtures, cup draw’s and trivial matters

This seems to me an odd way to see the situation, surely promoters and fans are equally dependent on each other, and as such should work together to make a success of their club and the sport as a whole. If/when Wimborne Rd is no longer for instance, it will probably take both parties working together if a solution is to be found.

Either that or Promoters are in the sport just to give away their money.( some were and they didn’t last long)
mikebv
It will be the "best, most unified AGM ever".. With all teams looking forward to a great season with some great plans to move the sport forwards... 2024 was a "great season" and will be built on in 2025.. There will be a huge, joined up, collective marketing campaign with "Bring a Friend" and "It's a family sport" being the headline strap line to bring thousands back, or interest new people...
