I would definitely have Tobias back. His slump coincided with his injuries and once back to fitness his scoring improved. He was the rider of the playoffs and KO Cup imo.

1. Richard Lawson

2. Tobias Thomsen

3. Zach Cook

4. Anders Rowe

5. Lewis Kerr

6. Vinnie Ford

7. William Cairns.

Leave it to someone else to tell me it’s over 39.

Tobias was the rider of the play offs??? Scores of 2 and 5 against Workington and then 4 away at Oxford in the final before 10 at home against a weak Oxford …. Might be entertaining and tries hard but to say he was Pooles top rider in the play offs is laughable

I think he probably meant to say playoff and KO Cup 'finals'.

Playoffs
A vs Oxford - 4+1
H vs Oxford - 10+2

KO Cup
A vs Oxford - 11+1
H vs Oxford - 8+3

That's 33+7 (40) in four meetings. Hardly laughable.

Steve didnt say he was our top rider but rider of the play offs as in he made the difference, it was Tom Brennan that let us down at Oxford but redeemed himself at home.

Plus all the entertainment on top of the points.

Tobias is another good value rider. Maybe not my rider of the playoffs, but has made a valuable contribution, was probably the only rider still up for a tussle later on last night.

Gavan is one of those posters always in a rage. And hasn’t a clue of Tobias scoring as you have provided.

Of course I meant the playoff finals. Rider of the playoff finals and KO Cup Finals. Would resign him straight away to be honest but if we release him he will soon be picked up elsewhere. He also has a very good report with the Pirate supporters and his donuts are very entertaining to get the crowd up.

Could Poole have a situation where both Cairns & Rowe are rushing back from Tue meetings in the POL U24 Lge next season to get to Poole Wed fixtures home and away ??.

Read an article on SGP today that Cairns will ride in that Lge from 30th June 25 as just signed a contract plus Rowe would still qualify for at least one more season at least being only 23 in May 25.

I know a number of riders do/did that Lge incl Zach Cook but still a lot of air & road miles on day of the home meetings at Poole flying say POL/Stansted and then Poole.

The Poles didn't waste any time snapping up Cairns.

Pity to see Ben moving on, but the upside is that Zac seems to up his game when his big bro isn't around. Making him Captain would be a shrewd move too, good for his confidence and good for the team.

Cairns probably didn’t waste any time before he contacted them.

Said on BSN last night he prefers riding UK to both DK and Swe.

Can imagine Poole crowds better than both Leagues add in he loves entertaining the crowd. He also said he definitely wants to be back in UK next season but probably under instruction to say nothing on that score at the moment. His demeanour was definitely of a rider who seemed to believe he is returning to Poole in 2025. On a GSA of 4.41 looks well worth a shout when fit. Loves the track and if his equipment and fitness holds up he well score plenty next season.

What better rider is there with potential in the Championship under a 4.41 average?

Nobody I can see on the GSA's.

Yes Killeen & Harrison (with Brit reduction) have potential to improve. But so does Thomsen. If he avoids injuries I forsee his home av increasing to compensate away glitches on tracks he is not so familiar with.

His fearless attitude on those wide outside lines he takes close to the fence generating so much speed provide plenty of points and entertainment. Plus he can gate which is a plus.

We arguably have him still on an average lower than his true worth due to the GSA cut off point and due to the nasty injuries where he definitely came back too early.  I also assumed he wanted to show willingness and didn't want to lose his team place if we was out as long as he should have taken in reality.

It was also his first time at most of the tracks. Next season he will have a better idea of track shapes and which sprockets to use etc. Would be a shame to see him at another club.
