He also doesn't ideally want a national league team next season even though he's been offered one already from Leicester. 15quid a point.

Isn't there a rule if you get 4 point average or higher in the Champ then you can't do NL?

This is true, but who knows if this will be changed in the silly season of winter!

Wot is Vinnie's average at the moment?

Since it's a Poole 2025 thread..  I wonder given how his only decent performance since he signed was at WR would he be a consideration for Poole on a 4?

Back to the title of this discussion next season will surely the signing of this season Tom Brennan be back at Poole, at any other team with his average he would be No 1 but we can't fit the Cooks and Tom in the team next year with already signed  Lawson unless we do what the Ford's don't want and go up.May be biased but riding at Poole every week has certainly made Tom and maybe Zach Cook better riders ?

At this stage it’s unlikely Brennan will be doing Championship Speedway. His calendar is extremely busy and he has ambitions to kick on further next year and make a big charge for the GP’s. I’d be very surprised if he rides in the second tier again but we’ll have to wait and see.

Not sure you’ll see Ben Cook in the Championship again either.

Say for example Brennan, Cook and Pickering don’t do the championship next season where will there replacements come from? We’ve already seen how difficult Plymouth have found it trying to replace Covatti.

Reading between the lines on the latest pirate cast, it's not cut and dry about staying in the championship, with Poland now riding on a Thursday, will the premiership revert to Monday and Wednesday, would certainly put the cat amongst the pigeon

When Danny Ford produced Lawson's 2025 contract last Sunday he said it would be in the Championship!  In any case it would need to be a Championship contract that Lawson signed, as the terms (points money/extras etc) would be higher in the Premiership and would need to be renegotiated!!

Unless of course it changes due to other circumstances...........................?!😇

Not just Plymouth, Berwick didn't replace Schlein, Workington didn't replace Zischke. Did a single heat leader join mid-season?

Just need to make the points limit low enough to share the top riders around / avoid clubs being cut adrift.

Is Poole's 2024 season over ? Looking at the thread seems everyone is talking about the team for 2025.  Fixture list just gives Poole vs TBC as the next meeting, so are they having trouble finding an opposing team to visit the Wimborne Road ?

Ermmm, we are in two finals at least! We are waiting to see who we meet in one and the other one the opposition only known last night. Also this thread was started as Lawson signed for 2025.

6 matches for an average. He has an official average, unless they change the rules again.

Correct me if I'm wrong but a Championship rider only gets an official MA after 8 qualifying matches.
